ADC Mokokchung notifies

Mokokchung, September 1 (DIPR):
Additional Deputy Commissioner HQ & Administrator MMC, Mokokchung, Kesonyu Yhome IAS has notified to the citizens of Mokokchung Town who are undertaking construction works and callously dumping construction materials on the road-sides for days together causing nuisance and unnecessary traffic congestions in the Town area which requires immediate redressal. Therefore all citizens under MMC jurisdiction are hereby informed to clear all construction materials from the roadside within 1 (one) week from the issue of this notice failing which the MMC shall carry out measures as deemed necessary.

AKM survival 2011 registration

Mokokchung, September 1 (DIPR):
AKM survival 2011 issue of census card and registration of all ILP Card holder non-locals under Changtongya town was held on August 30 and 31 at town hall. A team of AKM officials led by Vice President, Nathan and General Secretary Bendang informed that it will be renewed after 6 months and that a local person can witness only 5 non-local persons. The issuing of census card to all non-locals was done for persons above the age of 18 years and they were also informed that the cards would not be renewed if all required documents are not produced. The AKM survival 2011 was done in the presence of Town Council Advisory Board, all ward union, CKT, AKT and Changtongya Town Ao Students Union.

CHDD consultative meet on Sept 3

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN):
Chakhesang Hoho Dimapur District (CHDD) consultative meet with cleric and public leaders will be held on September 3 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm at CHDD Conference Hall, Chakhesang Colony. Patkai Christian College, principal Husazu Epao and Resource Centre Dimapur, executive director, Rev Dr Coppe Mero will be the main speakers. All frontal organisation, office bearer, VCC/Unit chairman, pastors, associate pastors and women pastor, youth president, church youth director, president students’ union and women society chairperson are directed to compulsorily attend the programme. This was informed in a press release issued by CHDD information and public secretary Mudozhoyi Lohe.  

JFWC revokes declaration of Aug 23

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN):
The Joint Forum Working Committee (JFWC) has apologized and revoked the notification of August 3, 2011 pertaining to the taxation of all the faction under the jurisdiction of Kiphire District i.e. NSCN (K), NSCN (IM) and FGN/NNC. A press note issued by Atsoba, joint secretary, and Yangkimong, convener, JFWC, Kiphire district stated that a press release was issued by JFWC on August 3, 2011 declaring not to release any kind of taxation apart from the above mentioned factions. Also, the JFWC in the note declared support towards the ongoing peace and reconciliation process led by the FNR. It also resolved to extend support the FNR and all the Naga National Workers to achieve the goal of Naga National issue.

Off-campus training on Sept 6-8

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN):
SAMETI Nagaland in collaboration with Extension Education Institute (NER), Government of India, Ministry of Agriculture, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat will be organizing three days off-campus training on “Production Technologies of off season tomato, chilly and other vegetables” at SAMETI, Medziphema from September 6 to 8 with resource persons from EEI, AAU, Jorhat. All the nominated officials of Horticulture Department and ATMA are hereby informed to report to the Principal IETC, Medziphema (contact no.9436007150) on September 5 and to bring along light beddings, mosquito nets etc.

YWCC appeal for construction of retaining wall

Dimapur, September 1 (MExN):
The Youth Wing of Churches Colony has re-appealed to the road and bridges department for the construction of retaining wall of a portion of the by-pass lane that passes from the Old Ao Church entry point via Churches Colony and merge into the circular road near Zinyu Gas Agency. YWCC President, Tekatemjen Jamir and General Secretary Tovi Phucho in a joint press release said that the road serves as a very important part in the reduction of traffic congestion of the City Tower Area, especially during functions and rallies in the said area. Therefore, they have earnestly appealed to the concerned department to kindly consider the vitality of the case and thereby do the needful at the earliest.
