Vihokhu Village notifies

Dimapur, September 2 (MExN):
All public and in general are informed “not to purchase the land under Vihokhu Village without the prior permission of head GB and GB.” Vihokhu Village head GB V. Hovikhe Jimomi and GB Kuhovi Zhimomi notified that if anyone doing so then it will be at their own risk. Establishment of colony/village within the jurisdiction of the village is strictly prohibited as per Art 24 of the village council resolution dated 14/01/1969.

Essay writing,  debate competition in Hindi

Kohima, September 2 (MExN):
The All Nagaland Hindi teachers’ Union organizes essay writing and debate competition in Hindi at 11.00 am at Nagaland Bhasha Parishad. The schools are requested to send not more than five candidates from each school of class 8, 9 and 10 students. The topics for essay competition are Importance of Sanitation (Swacchta ka mahatwa) and Role of Media (Sanchar Madhyam) for debate competition. Union General secretary A.S Yarhothotngam, in a press release also informed that local candidates who raked in top 50 with distinction marks in Hindi subject in HSLC 2011 will also be awarded cash prize and meritorious certificate. The successful candidates were asked to submit a Xerox copy of mark sheet to ANHTU office for record on or before 10 September failing which the union will not entertain after the expiry of the mentioned date. The ANHTU unit presidents were also requested to submit annual membership fee to treasurer central body on or before September 20.
 
NFD to celebrate ‘Delhi Naga Meet’

Dimapur, September 2 (MExN):
The Naga Forum Delhi (NFD) emergency general body meeting was held on August 31, 2011 at Meena Bagh, New Delhi. A press note issued by Kh. Siile Anthony, General Secretary, NFD stated that the meeting started with a word of prayer led by Asholi Chalai.  MP CM Chang, President of the Forum welcomed the members, while general secretary briefed the agenda to the house and read out action taken report.
The note mentioned that the house deliberated various issues and decided the following: the house accepted the resignation of Evilna Amongla, Women Coordinator. It elected Avitoli as Women Coordinator in place of Evilna Amongla. It was decided to celebrate “Delhi Naga Meet” on November 26, 2011. During the meet varieties of cultural programme will be organized. The house decided to request all the Church Pastors, Unit Student President, to cooperate with the Naga Forum for the success of the meet and if possible to avoid fixing any function on November 26, 2011. The note also stated that NFD president CM Chang invites the attention of the members to collectively work for the welfare of the Nagas.
