RVCCF quarterly meeting
Kohima, September 6 (MExN): The quarterly meeting of the Rengma Village Council Chairmen Forum will be held on September 7 at Chunlikha Village Community Hall at 9:30 am. Henkhohao Singson, ADC, Tseminyu will attend the meeting as the chief guest. All village council chairman under Tseminyu sub-division has been requested to attend the meeting without fail.

Kohima, September 6 (DIPR): The Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Kohima, Beiu Angami have informed that the material distribution cum training for BLOs and administrative officers of Kohima district in connection with door to door verification of working copy of PER will be held in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner Kohima on September 8 at 11:30 a.m. (Thursday). The Deputy Commissioner Kohima has informed all concerned for positive necessary action.
DYC Dimapur informs
Dimapur, September 6 (MExN): The District Youth Congress, Dimapur has informed the office bearers, executive members, active and primary members enrolled under DYC to report to its office, opposite East Police Station, Dimapur on or before September 30 on office working days i.e. Wednesdays and Saturdays between 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, for their membership and identity cards renewal. Failing which their membership stands invalid.
Handloom expo inaugurated at Tsg
Tuensang, September 6 (DIPR): ADC Tuensang, Sotsula inaugurated handloom expo funded by Ministry of Textile, Government of India at Town Hall, Tuensang on September 6. The inaugural programme was invoked by Pastor TTBC Sangkup, welcome address was delivered by General Manager DIC Tuensang Heito while vote of thanks was proposed by Functional Manager Kivuto. The inaugural programme ended with benediction by Pastor YBC Tuensang, Rev. Akum. After the programme, the chief guest inaugurated expo stalls, which were represented by self help groups and entrepreneurs of Tuensang district.
Dept informs consumer
Kohima, September 6 (MExN): The state’s department of legal metrology & consumer protection, with a view to protect the consumers in the state regarding the unilateral condition “goods once sold will not be taken back/exchanged” included in cash memos/bills issued by the traders/shopkeepers which is in contravention of Consumer Protection Act 1986, Section 14 (I) is consider as an illegal and unethical trade practice all over in the country. In this regard, all traders, shopkeepers in the state have been directed to ensure that the cash memos/bills issued by them do not carry the conditions that “goods once sold will not be taken back/ exchanged” thereby taking the consumers for a ride.
MMC directs tenants
Mokokchung, September 6 (DIPR): Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) has directed all tenants under MMC Shopping Complex to clear up their respective dues on or before September 13. Additional Deputy Commissioner and MMC Administrator, Kesonyü Yhome in a notification said failure to deposit dues within the given time shall attract forfeiture of their security deposit. The MMC in its notification issued a list of 34 (tenants) who are to clear their dues.
OHWU elects office bearers
Kohima, September 6 (MExN): The Officers’ Hill Women Union (OHWU), Kohima has unanimously elected its office bearers recently at the general body meeting for a period of three years. President- Razoukhrieü, vice president- Anile, general secretary – Kikrulhounuo Sekhose, joint secretary- Katoli, treasurer- Nozochono, vice treasurer- Ghotoli, advisors- Neikhriekhoü Solo, Dr. Neilavinuo and Amongla.
Steel almirahs distributed under ISDS
Changtongya, September 6 (DIPR): Health Development Project Officer Office Changtongya, on September 5 distributed steel almirahs to 60 Anganwadi Centres under Integrated Self Development Scheme as 1st phase in the presence of CDPO Changtongya and staff. For the remaining Anganwadi centres, steel almirahs will be distributed during the 2nd phase.
VKKK nominate executives
Kohima, September 6 (MExN): The Viswema Kewhira Kelhouko Krotho (VKKK) in its general body meeting held here today at the PWD Council Hall has nominated the executives for the session 2011-2013. The new team is headed by Sweyiekrol Thapo as its president, vice president- Kehise Kin, general secretary- Dr. Vizovol Mekro, joint secretary- Rüküvil Khanyo, treasurer- Puvil Kikhi. The outgoing president Vimedo Hobo will be the adviser while Vitsorel Lcho and Kefün Sakhrie will serve as the legal advisers. Further, the presidents (by designation) of four khels here will be additional members for the executive body. The nomination committee comprised of Vizosül Neikha as the convenor and Kikrovi Sakhrie, Vizopal Chaya and Vipiho Rhetso as members.
Course on live sound management held for KpNp+
Dimapur, September 6 (MExN): The Network for Kiphire District people Living with HIV/AIDS, board and the project staffs took part in a special programme on Crash Course on Live Sound Management held on September 2 at Hopongkyu Memorial hall, Kiphire. A press note issued by KpNp+ informed that Erothe, President KpNP+ shared on his life before and after the infection, status of Kiphire District, stigma & discrimination and the services available. He was also accompanied by Lithsa from SNO/PACT KpNP+. The programme was attended by host of legislatures, administrative officers, EEA members and the trainees/participants of the MTF crash course on Live Sound Management.

State Level Science Seminar on Sept 9
Kohima, September 6 (MExN): Directorate of School Education informed that State Level Science Seminar will be held on September 9 on the topic “Chemistry for human welfare promised and concerns” at GHSS Kohima at 10 am. Commissioner Secretary School Education, Imkonglemba (IAS) will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Director School Education, Khevito Sema in a press directed the participants from various districts with their teacher guide to report at DUDA guest House Kohima.
