1st Inter School Beat Contest on Sept 9

Dimapur, September 7 (MExN):
The Alumni of Hill View Higher Secondary School Mokokchung under the banner of the Students’ Welfare Society is organizing the 1st Inter School Beat Contest to showcase the young talents on September 9 at Town Hall, Mokokchung. Tekamangyang, DEO Mokokchung will grace the occasion as the chief guest.

19th Spero Meliora 2011

Kohima, September 7 (MExN):
The Dolphin Club, Kohima is organizing 19th Spero Meliora 2011 (Literacy Competition) on September 10 at the Kohima Village Council hall. F. Pelevituo Solo, commissioner & secretary for higher & technical education will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Spero Meliora will be marked by competitions in solo, painting & essay writing, spelling bee and debate. The inaugural function, commencing from 9:30 AM onwards, will be chaired by the club advisor Kekuolhouthie Dzüvichü. The sponsors for this year edition of Spero Meliora included Yhome Gas Agency, Watch Zone, Hotel Vizo, Setuo Kelio, Neiphreu Kire, KC Store and L. Kevi Store.

CSU Seminar on Sept 11

Kohima September 7 (MExN):
Chiechema students’ union organizes a seminar on the topic “An awareness programme on Health Hazard stuffs” on September 11 at village council Chiechama at 2.00 pm. Dr. Kezevituo Keditsu will be the resource person of the seminar. A press release received here by its Union has invited all the NGO leaders, church eaders, village leaders, students’ and all the citizens of Chiechama village to attend the seminar.

DC Dimapur directs on use of non-domestic LPG

Dimapur, September 7 (MExN):
All the concerned individuals and commercial establishment under Dimapur district are informed to use only non-domestic LPG in commercial establishment and general public during marriage, public feats etc. Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur N Hushili Sema, IAS ina press release has therefore, directed all concerned individuals and commercial establishments to follow the same, failing which will be dealt with as per the provision of  the  law.

DC Mkg to assess VDB

Mokokchung, September 7 (DIPR):
Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung will be embarking on a tour of villages in the district to assess the performance of Village Development Board (VDB). On her first leg of tour, she is schedule to visit Kangtsung, Merangkong, Wameken and Asangma on September 8. She will be visiting Changki, Atopomi and Chungtia Yimsen the next day. The DC will be accompanied by officials from the Rural Development and Administrative officers.    

KMC notifies on trade license

Kohima September 7 (MExN):
In reiteration to an earlier office notification and in conformity with Municipal Act 2001, all the shops/business establishment/private schools/clinics/pharmacies/cable operators/ private financial establishment/private institution/privare tele companies like aircel, airtel, reliance, vodaphone, tata indicom, idea etc within the jurisdiction of Kohima Municipality are requested to obtain/renew their trade license registration/license on or before September 30. A notification issued by Chief Executive Officer, Elizabeth Ngully stated that any establishment who operate/are operating without registering in the Kohima Municipal Council office shall be considered and penalized as deem fit, besides no basic amenities/services shall be rendered to them. It further informed that a late fine of Rs. 100 shall be imposed upon the defaulters.

Picnic cum sports meet NPF Kohima

Kohima, September 7 (MExN):
The 2nd picnic cum sports meet 2011 organized by NPF Kohima Division, sponsor by NPF 9th Kohima Town A/C will be held on September 16 at IG stadium, football and tug-of-war competition among the area constituencies are the day events for men and women respectively. The Speaker NLA, Kiyaneilie Peseyie will grace the occasion as the chief guest. This has been notified through a press release by Kesoneilie Theuwuo, press secretary.

PNTM get-together cum literary meet

Dimapur, September 7 (MExN):
Poumai Naga Students’ Union (PNTM) get-together cum literary meet will be held on September 10, 2011 at Indoor Stadium, Senapati at 9:00 am. A press note issued by N.V John, general secretary, PNTM stated that the meet will be held under the theme:”Be the first”, with Deputy Commissioner Senapati as the chief guest.

SAVC to repair state highway

Dimapur, September 7 (MExN):
The Sirhi Angami Village Council (SAVC) is organising a social work for the second time on September 10 under its jurisdiction for the repair of state highway viz., Medziphema-Peren road which is completely out of shape and order. SAVC chairman Mezhükho Kuotsu in a press release has notified the travelers to bear with the inconvenience and cooperate with the villagers on that day.
