Wokha DPDB meet on Sept 9

Wokha, September 8 (DIPR):
With reference to the direction received from the Chairman DPDB Wokha to have detail review of the district proposal for 12th Five Year Plan on the forthcoming DPDB meeting on September 9, all Head of Offices under Wokha district are informed to attend the meeting with six copies of 12th Five Year Plan proposal under respective departments.

Nagaland PWD (R&B) clarifies  

Dimapur, September 8 (DIPR):
In a press communiqué, Commissioner & Secretary (Works & Housing Departemnt), Temjen Toy has clarified with regards to the ‘Works Programme’ as published in the local dailies by the Media Cell of the NPCC.  The Department wishes to clarify that the Works Programme for 2011-12 with respect to the Roads & Bridges Department is in the process of finalization.  Once finalized, the Works Programme will be submitted to the Finance Department who in turn will compile the ‘Works Programmes’ of all the Departments and cause it to be laid in the House during the ensuing Assembly session. Once laid on the table of the House, this will become a public document. This is for the information of the general public.  

ASHAs get trained on malaria testing

Mon, September 8 (MExN):
One day training for ASHAs under National Vector Borne Disease Control Program (NVBDCP) was held today at Congress Bhavan, Mon with the Chief Medical Officer as the chief guest. District Program Officer, Mon NVBDCP, Dr. Arenla  resourced on Malaria symptoms, causes and preventions etc. while Lab Technician, IRC Mon, Senup demonstrated on how to conduct blood test, RDT, filling up of M1 and M2 forms etc. ASHAs were also taught on preventable measures of Malaria and DDT spraying respectively by Malaria Inspectors, Mangyang and Nyemphong. The attendance of the training was 44 respectively.

ASUB elects office bearers

The Ao Student’s Union Bangalore (ASUB) has elected office bearers for the tenure 2011-2013 with president-Toshimeren Lkr; Vice President-Toshilemba Imchem; general secretary-Maputoshi  Aier; Finance secretary Imchala & Asst Finance Nokmatemba; NSUB Representative -Bendangnungshi, Advisors- Atsungba Jamir, Dr. Yanger and Tia Aier; Treasure- Imkong Lkr and Executive- Zulunungsang Lemtur, Imlirenba, Yongsen; Imkongsenla and Alila. On August 21 through an emergency general meeting it has been decided that the Union, Ao Senso Telongjem Bangalore Kaketshir Tentet which was under the banner of Ao Senso Telongjem Bangalore will changed to ‘Ao Student’s Union Bangalore.’

Info on passes for Eleventh NLA

Dimapur, September 8 (MExN):
Car/gallery passes for the Tenth Session of the Eleventh Nagaland Legislative Assembly which commences on September 15, 2011 will be issued from September 12, 2011 onwards. A press note issued by A.E Lotha, secretary, NLA informed Ministers/Parliamentary Secretaries/AHODs to collect car/gallery passes at Home Commissioners’ office, Kohima. MLAs/HoDs/Medias to collect car/gallery passes at the reception counter No.1 Assembly Secretariat, Kohima. Further, it is to inform that car/gallery passes may be collected on or before September 14, 2011 in order to avoid eleventh hour and last minute rushes.

CSFK 8th annual session on Sept 10

Dimapur, September 8 (MExN):
The Chozubami Students’ Forum Kohima (CSFK) will hold its 8th annual session cum fresher’s social on September 10 at Red Cross Building, Kohima, at 10:00 am. The speaker for the session will be Jolayi Nienu, Project Officer, State Child Protection Society, Nagaland, Kohima. CSFK Publicity & Information Secretary Pusayi Sumi has informed in a press release that it is compulsory for all Chozubami Students residing in and around Kohima to attend the session, and is required to reach the venue by 9:30 latest. All parents, guardians, and well wishers are cordially invited to come and grace the occasion.

CTC on disposal of pharmacy wastes

Dimapur, September 8 (MExN):
The Chümukedima Town Council has notified to the pharmacy owners under its jurisdiction that disposal of pharmacy wastes should be done strictly for the safety of public. The chief advisor of CTC Thepfulhoutuo Shuya in a press note stated that due to careless/unhygienic disposal of pharmacy wastes/syringes, many people have been injured. Therefore, the pharmacy owners are directed to dispose the pharmacy waste specially syringe in “proper way through polythene bags and dump it in the CTC garbage bins. Violator (s) will be strictly dealt with as per the provision of law.”

Four from Peren receive teachers Award

Dimapur, September 8 (MExN):
Four teachers from Peren district were felicitated with Teachers Award on Teachers Day, September 5 at GHS Peren, organized by District Education Officer. The awardees were Namkiagibo of Baptist School B Jalukie, Wizunliu of Baptist School B Jalukie, Kiengau Nda of GHS Dungki and Kakoli Ganguly of OTMS Jalukie, informed a press note. The teachers at the felicitation programme were challenged to contribute more towards the society for molding up the future generation.

Measles catch-up campaign training held at Peren

Dimapur, September 8 (MExN):
Peren district conducted training on measles catch-up campaign to be held in the month of October 2011. The training was held on September 5 at CHC Jalukie with Resource Persons, Dr. Khriezotuo DIO, Phek and Dr. Ruokuobeinuo DIO, Dimapur. The training was attended by the CMO, Dy. CMO, district programme officers, SMOs, MOs, DPM  BPMs and ASHA Co-ordinators of all the blocks.
