Legal awareness at Phek today
Phek, September 12 (DIPR): Nagaland State Commission for Women (NSCW) in collaboration with National Commission for Women, New Delhi will be organizing Legal Awareness programme for Phek District on September 13 at Phek Badminton Stadium with its theme “Know Your Rights”. NSCW chairperson, Sano Vamuzo will deliver the keynote address while resource person ADC & SJ Khape Koza will speak on the topic “Statutory Rights of Women” and “Protection of Women from Domestic violence”. Phek SP, Vika Sumi will deliberate on the topic “Role of Police in Safeguarding Women’s Rights” and thereafter there will be Discussion Hour.
2nd Inter Tribal Youth Fellowship held
Mokokchung, September 12 (DIPR): The 2nd Inter Tribal Youth Fellowship organized by Alempang Baptist Youth Department, Mokokchung was held on September 11. Principal Fazal Ali College, Mokokchung Kuholi Chishi the main speaker spoke on the theme, “Oneness”. Youth from different other tribes of Mokokchung district, Clark Theological College students, Aolichen and Evangilical Union team, Fazal Ali College attended the day long youth fellowship programme.

ANEFWA directives to zonal and units
Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): All Nagaland Electricity Field Workers Association (ANEFWA) has directed to its zonal president and secretaries to keep prepared for further course of action at the event of failure by the government within the stipulated time, which expired on September 19. ANEFWA general secretary Megokhoto Angami in a note has directed the same to its constituent unit that the directives have been issued as per the general executive resolution adopted, which was held on August 17, 2011 at Kohima and subsequent ultimatum served to Government on August 19, 2011.

Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): ATMA Kohima district will be organizing an exhibition cum sales day on September 16 at Kohima local ground, where selected Farmers’ Interest Group (FIG) registered under ATMA Kohima will be displaying and selling their products to the public. Mokokchung, September 12 (DIPR): Bank of Baroda, Mokokchung Branch will have a Lok Adalat/ Recovery Camp in its office on September 16.Therefore all defaulters who have failed to make their recovery of loan are informed to avail the opportunity of the Lok Adalat on the mentioned date. Bank of Baroda, Branch Manager said defaulters who attend the Lok Adalat will get benefit from Sankalp-4.
Bible seminar concludes
Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): A Bible seminar of John Mission Ministry for Hostels concluded yesterday at Lotha Hoho Ki Dimapur September 11, 2011. Rev. T. Kampu President Asia Antioch seminary Guwahati and Hawipal, Principal were the guest speakers. Hundreds of students were blessed and learnt the word of God. Changki Union Kohima informs
Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): Changki Union Kohima in its emergency meeting held on September 10, had summoned Tongpanglepden Metsuri S/o Lt. Jeptakmayang Metsuri in connection with September 9 incident at Hotel Blue Lagoon, High School Junction. The Union in its meeting had imposed a fine of Rs. 5000/- to Tongpanglepden for tarnishing the image of the union and directed him to leave Kohima within 48 hours. It was also resolved in the meeting that if in future Tongpanglepden involve in any issues or create problem within Kohima jurisdiction, Changki Union Kohima shall not take any responsibility on his behalf. This was stated in a press release issued by Changki Union Kohima President, Tiakaba Amer.

He was a legendary nationalist from the core of his heart who sacrificed for the Naga nation. Kinghen in the condolence message prayed for the soul to rest in peace.

Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): The Padum Pukhuri Village Council (PPVC) has expressed shock and strongly condemned the case of duping Nagamese Baptist Church, Dimapur of more then Rs 27 lakhs by a conman. The Council in a condemnation note issued by its chairman Vitoka Katty further requested the police department and the concerned authority to take stern action against the culprit according to the law of the land.
