PIN number of Akuluto Town
Dimapur, September 14 (MExN): The people of Akuluto Area are once again informed that the PIN number of Akuluto Town has been changed from 798619 to 798627. People are requested to use the new PIN in their addresses to Akuluto Town Branch Post Office, especially for ATM Card delivery addresses. The Postal Department will not be held responsible for loss or inconvenience caused due to use of invalid PIN in the future. This was informed in a press note issued by Visheto N Zhimo Postmaster, Akuluto Branch Post Office, Akuluto – 798627.
Mon DPDB meet on September 16
Mon, September 14 (DIPR): The Monthly Mon district Planning & Development Board meeting for the month of September 2011 will be held on September 16 at 11.00 a.m. in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner, Mon. All the members are requested to attend the meeting without fail.
Demo, distribution of water quality held at Longleng
Dimapur, September 14 (MExN): The PHED, Longleng Division organized a demonstration and distribution of water Quality Field Testing kits on September 13 last at Phom Peoples’ Council Hall, Longleng. The participating groups which comprised of the WATSAN Committee chairmen, VDB Secretaries and Village Councils were made aware on the importance of water and sanitation and further sensitized of the consequences of improper sanitation and consumption of contaminated water. A brief introduction on the importance of water quality and the need for testing water quality was delivered by E.E PHED, Longleng. T. Bendang Ao chaired the program while, demonstration of Field Testing kits was given by chemist, Sumachiba Walling. And vote of thanks was delivered by J.E., PHED, Longleng, Thetong Phom.
Honorarium for BLOs & Supervisors of Census
Kohima, September 14 (DIPR): The second phase census operation 2011 honorarium was distributed to the BLOs and Supervisors at SDO (C) office Jakhama on September 12 and also distributed office furniture to the Government Primary School.
The furniture was provided to the Government Primary School under the scheme 13th Finance Commission awarded for rural local bodies in Nagaland under 2010-11. Later in the afternoon the Village Vision Cell (VVC) committee was also set up with SDO (C) Jakhama Zeneikhono as Convenor, BDO Rokozelie Usou and IA Metevizo Sothu as members. The committee also recommended and forwarded the selected project report received from the 14th and 15th Southern Assembly Constituency to the core committee for final selection.
MMT 2012 Christmas celebration committee meeting on October 5
Dimapur, September 14 (MExN): The Mopungchuket Medemsanger Telongjem (MMT) will be organising the 2012 Christmas celebration for which nineteen (19) sub-committees have been constituted. As decided on July 1, 2011 it has been informed that there will be combined meeting of all the members of the planning committee and sub-committee on October 5, 2011 at 1:00 pm at MSM Rest House, Mopungchuket. Therefore, the sub-committee leaders and members are requested to attend the meeting and also bring outlines or plans for the works which they have been assigned to do.
Earlier on April 8, 2011 the Mopungchuket Medemsanger during a meeting resolved to arrange various programmes throughout the year in all the units and also to organise the 2012 Christmas celebration. The planning committee was elected with A. Temjen Jamir as Convener and I. Tejamlemba Aier as secretary. Later, on July 9, 2011 the planning committee, MMT office bearers, unit presidents, MMT executives during a joint meeting constituted the various sub-committees.
The various sub-committees are; programme, accommodation, decoration, reception, sound, lights & stage, presentation, electricity, water supply, video grapy, traffic, documentation, finance, catering, entertainment, medical team, construction, video editing & media cell, fireworks & fire services and research & resolution team.
