FGN terminates one

Dimapur, September 16 (MExN):
The Commander, 6th Brigade, Naga Army, Federal Government of Nagaland, terminated 2nd Lieut. Inaka Achumi, S/o Hekhuvi Achumi of Tichipami Village from active National service on medical ground. FGN 6th Brigade, Naga Army Commander, Lieut. Col A.K. Yepthomi in a press release said that his sacrifice, loyalty and ceaseless work towards the Naga cause during his long years of service with the government will be remembered and let the almighty God graciously be healed his sickness soon and also bless his family abundantly in the days to come. This termination Ahza/Order shall come into effect immediately from the date of publication of this article, the press note further informed.

12 arrested under NLTP Act ’89

Dimapur, September 16 (MExN):
The Dimapur district excise and prohibition enforcement personnel conducted a surprise raid on liquor tents and booze joints in and around DC Court area and in between Purana Bazar and Chumukedima along the National Highway 29 on September 13 and 14. During the raid, the duty party recovered and seized a total of 75 bottles of IMFL and beer and 120 liters of “ZU and Rohi.” In this connection 12 accused persons were arrested and penalized as per the relevant section of the NLTP Act ’89. This was informed in a press release issued by Dimapur Superintendent of Excise & Prohibition, Pitongse Sangtam.

ANHTU informs

Kohima, September 16 (MExN):
The All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) informed all the communitized school’s Hindi Teachers under Kohima unit that nearly 25 members are still not yet submitted their membership fee for the year 2011. In this connection, they have been requested to submit the said fee on September 20 without fail.

IVR council informs

Dimapur, September 16 (MExN):
The Industrial Village Razhüphe Council has requested all the BPL card holders within the village to open their account with the local Post office and to contact the council members for any information regarding the account opening. This was informed in a press release issued by IVR council secretary Keneingulie.

JCBKK meeting on Sept 23

  The Japfuphiki Chokri Baptist Khriesaruu Krotho (JCBKK) has convened a meeting on 23 September at 6 pm at Chotisuh Sazo, advisor JCBKK residence, new minister hill Kohima.A press release issued by Er. Secho Sale, Secretary JCBKK requested all the office bearers, executive members and the advicsors of the Krotho to attend the meeting without fail.

KLCSU 31st social parting on Sept 20

Kohima, September 16 (MExN):
The Kohima Law College Students’ Union (KLCSU) organized its 31st social parting cum release of magazine at state academy hall, Kohima on September 20 at 10.00 am. Commissioner secretary, higher & technical education, F,P Solo will grace the function as the chief guest. A press note issued by information & publicity, Khongpe stated that Rs. 200 will be imposed against those absentees.

Kohima DPDB postponed

Kohima, September 16 (DIPR):
All the Kohima District Planning & Development Board members have been informed that the monthly DPDB meeting for the month of September 2011 cum DPDB Exit Conference has been postponed to September 19 on account of the visit of Union Minister of State for Communication Sachin Pilot to Nagaland on September 16. The time and venue for the DPDB meeting will remain the same.

NWC organizes legal awareness

Kohima,  September 16 (MExN):
The Nagaland State Commission for Women organized a legal awareness programme at Wokha, Mokokchung & Longleng town on the theme “Know your Rights” with special emphasis on “Statutory Rights of women”. N. Hushili sema IAS, NWC in a press release stated that in Wokha, the programme will be held on 20 September at LTC hall, Mokokchung on 21 at town hall while Longleng the programme will be held on 22 at its town itself where the programme will begin at 10 am. NWC invited one delegate, VCC or Head GB, one women leader from each village, also two delegates from church, town committee, students’ union, administrators, police, judiciary and all heads of department from each district.

PSA consultative meet on Sept 24

Phek, September 16 (MExN):
The first consultative meeting of all the Phek Sports Association (PSA) Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee(s) and Sub-Committee(s) will be held on September 24 at the PSA Rostrum by 10.00 am sharp. According to a press note issued by PSA President, Muramo S.Venuh, besides the official agenda(s), financial position for the forthcoming celebration scheduled by 2012 shall be seriously dealt with. Hence, all the Committee(s) and Sub-Committee(s) members are asked to attend the meeting positively.

PSUK annual social meet on Sept 24

Kohima, September 16 (MExN):
The 31st freshers- cum- annual social meet of the Pochury Students’ Union Kohima (PSUK) will be held on September 24 at Pochury Baptist Church Kohima at 10:30 AM under the theme “Venturing Beyond.” Dr. C. Wathsütho Nyuthe, senior specialist Naga Hospital Authority Kohima will grace the occasion as the chief guest. All the students (Pochury) in and around Kohima are compulsory to attend the session and asked to come with at least one traditional attire. All officials, senior students and well wishers have been invited to the occasion. This was stated in a release issued by PSUK general secretary Nyojitho Nyuwi.

No Hindi subject teacher in GPS Phisami

Dimapur, September 16 (MExN):
The Phisami Students union (PSU) in order to facilitate better quality education have visited three schools in the village viz- GPS, GMS and St James school on September and interacted with the teaching faculties. PSU president Atoka Yeptho and general secretary Kivishe Achumi in a press release stated that the union is surprised to learn from the faculties that every year in GPS Phisami Hindi text book is being issued but there is no teacher to teach the student which is few years now. The faculties also expressed that the poor infrastructure of the school also hamper the standard of education. The union while interacting with the faculties of GMS also shared the problem of poor infrastructure and said that this cause the problem of running the classes as there is hardly any development in the school. On checking the attendance of the faculties and the staffs the union found out that there has been many irregularities and the union has decided to take stern action to those defaulters.
