Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) is organizing the Parents’ Camp for National Workers. ANDBPF elects new team
Kohima, September 24 (MExN): The All Nagaland Drivers and Bodyguards Prayers Fellowship held its general meeting on 18 under the theme “Protection of life” at D. Yongnyak Banker residence in regard with the selection of new office bearers. The new team for the next three years term 2011-2014 will be headed by L. Kapfo Chairman, and Samuel Gurung, Joint Secretary.
Inter ward painting competition on Oct 3
Dimapur, September 24 (DIPR): Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) in collaboration with Urban Development, Municipal Cell is organizing Inter Ward on the Spot painting competition on October 3, 2011 to mark the World Habitat Day. The competition would be conducted under the theme “City & Climate Change”. MMC in a release said every Ward shall be represented by one competitor and they should bring brush and paints. MMC will provide painting board and Art paper, which will have the size of 22 (inch) in height and 28 (inch) in width. Competitor from each ward should write a few lines of concept note of the picture and all Ward authorities are informed to submit the name of competitor on or before September 30, 2011. Competition will be held at MMC Shopping Complex Ground Floor from 10:00 am onwards. Prize money will be given in two category; Ward and individual category. The winners in Ward category will receive Rs. 5,000 while in individual category it will be Rs. 2,000.
ANPWDFWA meeting on Oct 13, 14
Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): The All Nagaland PWD workers’ association PWD (R & B) and Housing has convened emergency general meeting on October 13 and 14 at Conference Hall, Circuit House, Dimapur at 10:00 am to discuss agendas including monthly salaries and regularization of W/C employees etc. Therefore, all the unit presidents and secretaries are requested to attend the meeting without fail and the association will not entertain any kind of responsibilities of the default unit. The Association also requests those divisions who have not yet cleared their membership fees for the year 2010-2011 to submit the same during the said meeting. This was informed in a press release issued by ANPWDFWA president and general secretary.
Training and distribution of winter vegetable seeds
Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): ATMA, Kobulong, organized a one day training and distribution of vegetable seeds on September 23, 2011 at Mopungchuket Village Council Hall. The key resource person was Imo, A.H.O Dept. of Horticulture, Mokokchung who imparted on the practice and package of organic farming till processing. Further a brief session on Farmer-Scientist interaction was conducted. Dr.Longri.Ao, FM, SCBF Alib, Mokokchung, Aojungshi, BTT & Supervisor Sericulture, Kobulong, Dr.Meyatoshi, VAS, BTT Convener, Kobulong, Imtimongla, BTM and Lipoklila, SMS were the resource persons for the session. A total of 40 farmers attended the training programme followed by the distribution of different vegetable seeds, fertilizers and animal mineral supplements.
OHWU notifies on illegal activities
Kohima, September 24 (MExN): The Officers’ Hill (Thegabakha) Women union (OHWU) in a press release has stated that it has come to notice of the residents of Officer’s Hill Colony Kohima the area around Raj Bhavan is being used by Touts from different colonies as a site for drinking and immoral activities. The OHWU, Kohima strongly denounced the act and warned that regular checks will be conducted by the OHWU and anybody found violating the warning will be penalized as per the resolution of the union. This has been notified in a press release issued by its union president Razoukhrieu and general secretary Kikrulhounuo Sekhose.
VDB union conducts study tour cum exposure trip
Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): The VDB Secretaries Union along with the block officials V. Kashibo Sangtam, BDO, David, JE and staff conducted a student tour cum exposure trip from September 12 to 21, 2011.A press note issued by the Union stated that the places covered duding the tour were New Delhi, Agra, Chandigarh and Shimla. In Shimla, the team attended class at Panchayat Raj Training Institute Mashobra, where the principal and instructor deliberated on village functionaries in Himachal Pradesh and implementation of various Central sponsored schemes under Rural Development in the state. The tour was organized by VDB Union and the DRDA Dimapur.
