ABRSM practical music exam 2011
Kohima, October 6 (MExN): The School of Music, Kohima will conduct ABRSM practical music examinations 2011 at Rev. Dr. Neiliezhü Üsou’s complex as examination centre on October 5, under the guidance of Anthony Braganza, Regional coordinator ABRSM. The ABRSM Examiner 2011 is Christopher Gumbley. Currently teaching Saxophone at Birmingham Conservatory of Music, UK. He runs his own courses in classical and jazz, Saxophone in the UK Midlands and has earned national recognition for his educational music.
LYO elects new team
Kohima, October 6 (MExN): The Lerie Youth organization (LYO) Kohima has elected its new team of office bearers for the tenure 2011-2014. The team is headed by president Zase-o, general secretary Toshimeren and Hoili as its finance secretary cum treasurer.

Phek Village, October 6 (MExN): The Golden Jubilee Committee(s) second consultative meeting of Phek Sports Association (PSA) is convened on October 22 (Saturday) at the PSA Rostrum by 10.00.AM sharp. According to a press release issued by PSA President, Muramo S.Venuh, a healthy deliberation of new agenda with special focus on financial drive, review of first consultative meeting minutes, would featured the day meeting. In a separate statement, the Finance Committee Convenor had asked the entire Committee(s) and Sub-Committee(s) Convenors to submit their budget during the second meeting positively. The release henceforth asked all the members of various Committee(s) and Sub-Committee(s) to attend the meeting positively.
Refresher course for Hindi teachers
Kohima, October 6 (MExN): The SCERT and Central Institute of Hindi Dimapur Centre under the resources from CIH-Agra organizes a refresher course for government Hindi Teachers serving in GPS, GMS and private schools under establishment of DIS Shamator, Noklak and Kiphiri including the Hindi Teachers of GHS, GHSS of those area from 11-22 October at SCERT Kohima. SCERT Director, Vipralhou Kesiezie in a press release has directed the DIS/Principals/headmasters of Shamator, Noklak and Kiphiri to depute altogether 50 teachers to attend the said programme at 9.30 am. It added that TA/DA will be provided by CIH-Agra Dimapur centre as per the norms.

The Team will be led by Sanyi Dukru as President, Sapunyi Zholia as Vice President, Deo Movi as General Secretary, Chure Lea as Joint Secretary, Panyi Movi as Finance Secretary, Kevecho Zholia as Publicity and Information Secretary, Vikou Rhi as Literary Secretary, Wekhazü Lea as Women Coordinator and Depelo Lea as Treasurer respectively.

Kohima, October 6 (MExN): The vice chancellor, Nagaland University has declared Sr. Anniamma Emmanuel as provisionally qualified for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D), in political science of the Nagaland University. This is subject to ratifications by the Academic and Executive Council of the University, a notification received here said. ‘Her thesis is “Feminist perspective of rights of the scheduled caste and the scheduled tribe women in Kerala” and Dr. Arun Kumar Singh as supervisor.
