Kohima, October 9 (MExN): The Queensberry Foundation (NGO) will open its 13th Kohima branch office on October 11 at the office building, opposite petrol pump, High School Junction, Kohima at 10:00 am. Parliamentary secretary for social welfare, child and women development Chotisuh Sazo will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Welcome address will be delivered by Aron. K. Quinker, chairman and CEO Queensberry Foundation while presentation will be made by Aboli Aye, executive manager, Queensberry Foundation (Administration) Dimapur. Vote of thanks will be delivered by Lideno Ezung, executive secretary Queensberry Foundation.
Zunheboto DPDB meet postponed
Kohima, October 9 (MExN): The Zunheboto DPDB meeting for the month of October has been postponed to October 11 owing to Durga Puja holidays. Time shall be at 12:00 noon and venue remains the same. Stating this in a release, K. Sekhamo, district planning officer, Zunheboto requested all the members to take note of the change and attend the said meeting positively.

President- NSM Pakhiu, vice president- T. Putsaio, general secretary- S. Thangpong, assistant general secretary- K. Muthiam, finance secretary- N. Neuchom, social & cultural secretary- M. Mongsai, literary& debating secretary- M. Tainio, information & publicity secretary- Shepao, games & sports secretary- L. Pongo, executive chairman- M. Mudang, executive secretary- B. Puche, advisor- H. Lam and Mr and Mrs. Thanghoi as treasurer.
Variety show in aid of CB school
Kohima, October 9 (MExN): A variety show in aid of Cherry Blossoms School will take place on October 10 at the State Academy Hall, Kohima at 3:00 pm. Nagaland governor Nikhil Kumar will grace the function as the chief guest.
Rotary’s artificial limps fitting camp
Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): Rotary Club of Dimapur informs to all the beneficiaries that the Artificial Limps Fitting Camp (whose measurement was taken on August 27, 2011) will be held on October 11, 2011 at Rotary Centre, Midland, P.W.D.Road, Dimapur. RCD has informed that persons whose measurement was taken are cordially requested to be present on October 11, 2011 at Rotary Centre, Dimapur so that the same may be fitted.
CCSU informs on change in match fixture
Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): All the teams/clubs are notified that a slight change has been made in the fixture of the 19th LMT 2011. That due to some unavoidable circumstances the matches for the hard-line and final matches had been pre -poned to October 12 and 14, 2011. A press note issued by Y. Toshi Chang, Games & Sports Secretary, CCSU stated that as per the said schedule the hard-line and the exhibition matches will be played on October 12 and not as scheduled in the earlier fixture and the final match will be played on October 14. “We request you to bear with the inconvenience and extend your co-operation to us,” stated the note further.
SRPUD general meet on Oct 29
Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): The Satoi Range Public Union Dimapur (SRPUD) will have a general body meeting on October 29 at the union’s banker’s residence at LRC Colony in Dimapur at 9:00 am. Meet on Human Right issues of NE and J & K
Dimapur, October 9 (MExN): GSDS, New Delhi under Minister of Culture, government of India had organized six days meeting from September 27 to October 2, 2011 at Gandhi Darshan, New Delhi. A press note issued by L. Senti Walling, executive secretary, Welfare Association for Handicapped stated that the meeting focused on various issues of Northeast and Jammu & Kashmir especially skilled Development and Human Right. This right is also available to all disabled people included. It was also mentioned that L. Senti Walling and Rokokholie have represented Nagaland. Further, disabled people in Nagaland who have to consult for their rights may contact L Senti Walling, executive secretary, Welfare Association for Handicapped, Dimapur.
AAUD prog postponed to Oct 22
