Master trainers training from today

Kohima, October 17 (DIPR):
Master trainers training on Socio-Economic & Caste Census 2011 will be held at SIRD Conference hall, Kohima on October 18 and 19. According to the programme, on October 18, the programme will start at 10:00 AM, which will be chaired by Joint Director, SIRD, Veluo Sijo. Welcome address will be delivered by Commissioner & Secretary, RD, V Sakhrie. Director of Census Operations, V. Hekali Zhimomi IAS will also deliver a brief address.  The Government of India has decided to conduct Socio-Economic & Caste Census in all the States and Union Territories. The Government of Nagaland also decided to conduct the same as per directions of the Central Government with the Rural Development Department and Urban Development department as the nodal department for the State.

ANSAREU emergency meeting on Oct 20

Kohima, October 17 (MExN):
The All Nagaland Sectional Assistant Regular’s Employees Union (ANSAREU) will hold an emergency meeting on October 20 at 11:00 AM at the PWD Rest House Conference Hall, Kohima. The meeting will discuss the important issues. In this connection, two members from each division and sub division have been informed to attend the meeting positively.

ATMA Kohima sales day

The ATMA Kohima Block sponsored  a sales day on products from Vocational Skill Development Workshop organise by the Thevsma Youth Organisation, Khonoma Village on October 11 at Super market area.

Bijaya Sammelani celebrated

Dimapur, October 17 (MExN):
The Dimapur Bengali Samaj has celebrated Bijaya Sammelani on October 13 at the premises of Pranab Jubilee Auditorium. Chinmayanandaji Maharaj of Dimapur Hindu Milan Mandir graced the occasion as the chief guest and vice president of Dimapur District Forum Y Kikon as the guest of honour. The principal of SD Jain College JC Das and Prof Debanish Dutta highlighted on the theme Vijaya Sammelani. As a part of the Bijaya Sammelani, the Dimapur Bengali Samaj served sweets to the invitess. Around 1000 people from Bengali community attended the programme.

Dimky General Assembly of Zeliangrong Baudi on Oct 28

Dimapur, October 17 (MExN):
The Dimky General Assembly of Zeliangrong Baudi will be held on October 28 at Tamenglong HQ. All central executives, State Zeliangrong Baudi, Zone executives, AZSU and Zeliangrong Youth Front must attend the meeting without fail as per Zeliangrong Baudi Constitution Article 7 (A). The former presidents of Zeliangrong Union are also invited as special invitees. The arrival date for the meeting will be October 27 while departure will be October 29.

Gorkha Mahila raffle draw postponed

Dimapur, October 17 (MExN):
Draupadi Lama, President, Gorkha Mahila Samiti Kohima has  informed through a press release that the Raffle Draw of GMS, Chandmari, Kohima have been postponed to October 30 due to some unavoidable circumstances. The Samiti has requested all to bear with them.

LLB examination from Oct 24

Kohima, October 17 (MExN):
The students of Kohima Law College have been informed that the LLB examination will start from October 24. Therefore, all students have been requested to clear the fines as early as possible. Stating this in a release, the Kohima Law College Students Union said that it will not issue the admit card to those students who failed to pay their fines. The students have been informed top check their fines in the college notice board adding that those who fail to pay the dues will not be issued the admit card and the issuing of it will be notifying shortly, a release received here said today.

NCRC prayer meeting from Oct 28

Kohima, October 17 (DIPR):
NCRC P.R. Hill Kohima prayer centre for Nagaland is organising a monthly prayer meeting from October 28 to 30 with Pastor, Yangulie sanchu and Visiting Pastor, Hovikrol Neikha as the chairman. The speakers are Rev. Veketou Kiso Pastor Kigwema CRC and Rev. Shiwoto Sumi Pastor Dimapur Sumi CRC Purana Bazar. Choir from Mima CRC and Nagamese Praise and Workship team from Jalukie. The service will be in Tenyidie and Nagamese. Lords super will be prepared by Rev. Veketou Kiso on Sunday devotional service and healing service in the evening. Service timing morning 10 a.m. and evening 4 p.m.

NCSA general conference on Oct 20

Kohima, October 17 (MExN):
The 39th general conference of the Nagaland Civil Service Association (NCSA) will be held on October 20 at 11:00 AM at The Heritage, Old DC’s Bungalow with Lalthara, IAS, chief secretary as the chief guest in the inaugural function and K.T. Sukhalu, IAS, secretary, F & CS and IT & C as resource person in the business session. All the members of the NCSA from the districts as well as from the civil secretariat are expected to attend the conference.

PACSU executive meet on Oct 22

An emergency executive meeting of the Phokhungri Area College Students’ Union and senior students is convened on October 22, 10:30 am at the residence of Jonathan Thviiviiry joint secy. PACSU at Bayavu Hill Kohima. Therefore all are requested to attend the meeting without fail.

Stadium cum community hall at Sishunu

Kohima, October 17 (MExN):
The inaugural function of Indoor Stadium cum community hall at Sishunu village will take place on October 25 at 11:30 AM. Viketol Sakhrie, commissioner and secretary for rural development will grace the occasion as the chief guest.

Sumi National Workers general meet held

Dimapur, October 17 (MExN):
The Sumi National Workers general meeting was held at Asukhomi Village under Zunheboto District from October 13 to 15, 2011 where a large number of National workers both from Civil and Army attended the meeting and reaffirmed to support and strengthen the peace process under the dynamic leadership of Isak Chichi Swu and Th. Muivah and also pray for their good health and early solution for the ongoing political solution to the Nagas. The Sumi Region also expressed their profound gratitude to the GB’s and public of Asukhomi villagers for their good hospitality throughout the meeting. This was informed in a press note issued by Nizulho Chishi, secretary of Sumi region.
