Kohima, October 18 (MExN): The Enable organized a workshop on equipping Parents, teachers and care-givers in caring for differently-abled persons on 19 October at the Conference Hall, CBCC, T. Chikri Pfutsero. Robert Longchari, Additional deputy Commissioner, Pfutsero headquarters will grace the workshop as the chief guest.
Electoral Roll Observer tour prog
Kohima, October 18 (DIPR): Secretary DUDA & Electoral Roll Observer for Kohima, Dimapur, Peren and Pughuboto, TC Sangtam is visiting the concern districts from October 18 to 25. According to his tour programme, TC Sangtam is visiting Kohima on October 18 and 19, Pughoboto on October 20, Peren on October 21 and Dimapur on October 24 and 25. During his tour, the Secretary will meet the concerned Deputy Commissioners and ADC Pughuboto as per the tour programme at 11:00 am. in their respective offices and will also meet all the recognized political parties in the districts and visit some polling stations of all the Assembly Constituencies. The Secretary has therefore requested all concerned to make necessary arrangement accordingly.

Dimapur, October 18 (MExN): With regard to the special summary revision of electoral roll 2012, Roll observer for Wokha district V Shankar Shekar will be visiting Wokha on October 19 and 20. Kohima, October 18 (MExN): The Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) informed all the units that the Executive Council meeting of CYF will be held on 22 October at 10 am at Pfutsero Town Hall. A press release issued by its President Zhopayi Nakro and Organizing secretary Mudongoi Swuro directed two members from each unit to attend the meeting without fail along with the 30% VDB youth share deduction for community building Dimapur and Jungle/forest burning fines deducted records from respective VDB secretary and also if there are any. It added tat the executive council shall also discuss on the construction of the Community Building at Dimapur. Any unit wishes to place their agenda/agendum for the meeting may submit it before the commencement of the meeting, added the press release.

Dimapur, October 18 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers’ Union (ENCSU) general meeting will be held at Kiphire on October 26 with CL John Konyak, MLA and Chairman Marcofted as the chief guest. All the central office bearers, executive members and unit office bearers, members are informed to attend the meeting. The Union also requests the delegates and representative from ENPO, ENSF, ENWO, NGOA six tribal president of East Nagaland to attend the session positively. Mass Social Work for Kohima Ward No 14 on Oct 22
Kohima, October 18 (MExN): Sanitation Committee wards No 14 will be conducting a mass social work on 22 October. A Press release issued by its convener Nokehel Theyo and secretary Viwhel Neikha stated that all the residents of Ward of Ward No 14 (Poterlane and Old Ministers’ Hill Colony) are asked to compulsory participate in the said Mass Social Working starting from 7 – 11 am. The business establishments within the jurisdiction of Ward No 14 are also asked to participate in the said Mass social work by closing their shops and actions will be initiated against those who fail to participate in the Mass social work.
NBCA 3rd general conference held
Dimapur, October 18 (MExN): The 3rd general conference of Nagamese Baptist Churches Association (NBCA) was held on October 6 with the theme ‘Go and bear much fruit (John 15:16). It was hosted by Local Dialect Baptist Church at the GCYM Centre Sovima. Rev Zanao Mozhui, senior pastor Lotha Baptist Church was the main speaker and the praise ad worship team was from Nagamese Baptist Church, Burma Camp. Altogether 35 local churches both from affiliated and non affiliated members participated in the conference. Dr. Rev Chen Rengma, executive secretary NBCA delivered the welcome address while Rev R Meren, president NBCA said the vote of thanks and Dr. T Aonok pronounced the benediction.

Social work at forest colony on Oct 22
Kohima, October 18 (MExN): The Forest Colony Kohima informed all the resident of Forest Colony that there will be a mass social work on October 22 starting from 8:30 AM. The decision to hold the social work was resolved at an emergency meeting held on October 16. The social work will see cleaning of all natural drainages, site drains, filling of pot holes along the road and especially the road leading to Stella Higher Secondary School. The social work will be a whole day affair.All the FCU residents have been requested to participate without fail in cleaning their respective compound, adjacent nullahs and road crossing their area. The Union official will be supervising round the clock and if any household not clean up due to less manpower availability may be reported so that there are being assisted in cleaning their surroundings.
USSC supports ENSF
Kohima, October 18 (MExN): The United Sangtam Students’ Conference (USSC) strongly supports the demand made by the eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) to withhold the appointments orders of the recently declared NPS/NCS and Allied Services examination on the non-implementation of 25% job reservation policy. A press release issued by its general secretary Khumdila T. Sangtam state that the conference urged the government to rectify the errors at the earliest for the smooth functioning of the administration.
