Rajya Puraskar award ceremony today

Kohima, November 6 (MExN):
The Rajya Puraskar Award Ceremony cum release of Rashtrapati Certificates will be held on November 7 at 11:00 pm at the Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima. Nagaland Governor Nikhil Kumar, who is also the chief patron of Nagaland State Association of Bharat Scouts & Guides will be the chief guest. Minister for higher and technical education and urban Development Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu, who is also the president of Nagaland State Association of Bharat Scouts & Guides will chair the ceremony. The participants have been informed to report on November 5 at the State Headquarters, Bayavü Hill, Kohima and not at the State Training Centre, Nerhema as informed earlier.

“Footsteps of traditions” to coincide with Ahuna fest

Kohima, November 6 (MExN):
The department of art & culture in collaboration with NEZCC Dimapur is organizing a programme on “Footsteps of traditions” in coinciding with Ahuna festival at Satakha in Zunheboto district on November 15. Artistes from Satakha town/village and its neighbouring villages will be participating in this one day programme. The programme will be graced by T. Kiheto Zhimo, deputy commissioner Zunheboto as the chief guest.

ATMA Dimapur meet on Nov 8

Dimapur, November 6 (MExN):
The monthly meeting of the Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Dimapur, will be held on November 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at the ATMA Training Hall, DAO’s Office, LRC Colony. All AMC Members, BTT Convenors, BTT members, AES members and ATMA staffs are requested to attend the meeting positively. This was informed in a press note issued by J Akato Chishi, Dy. Project Director ATMA.

Orientation for Anganwadi helpers under Kikruma ICDS Project

Dimapur, November 6 (MExN):
Orientation/Training for Anganwadi Helpers under Kikruma Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Project was organized on November 4, 2011 at the Community Hall Kikruma Town. The program was chaired by Anyile, Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Kikruma. The training session began with a welcome address delivered by Anyile and an invocation prayer pronounced by Reyivolü, Supervisor. The training was given by four resources persons of the department, covering six different topics. Shikuto Sema, Program Officer ICDS, Social Welfare Department, spoke on three topics. They were- Health and Hygiene, Health and Nutrition, and Population Control and HIV/AIDS. Anyile, CDPO, Kikruma Project, spoke on the subject, “The Responsibilities of the Anganwadi Helpers in the absence of Anganwadi Workers. Sienotho, Supervisor, Kikruma Project, dwelled on the topic, “Duties of Anganwadi Helpers.” Reyivolü, Supervisor, Kikruma Project, spoke on the topic “Maintenance of Registers and Monthly Progress Report (MPR).” The training was well attended by 58 Anganwadi helpers.

Total Sanitation Campaign Rally at Dhansiripar

Dimapur, November 6 (MExN):
A Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) Rally would be held on November 8, 2011 from 8am onwards near Pump House,Dhansiripar. Organized by PHED(Rural)Division  Dimapur and sponsored by  Water and Sanitation Support Organization(WSSO), it would feature a procession of school students with placards starting from  Government High School, Dhansiripar complex till Dhansiripar pump house followed by a function at the culmination venue. In a release, PHED Rural division has informed the 35 selected villages to send representatives, including its WATSAN chairman, women and youth, Village Council, VDB secretary, Anganwadi and ASHA workers compulsorily, as attendance would be taken. It also notified that students from class 5 and above of Government High school (Dhansiripar), Shalom and Daffodil High School (Doyapur) would take part in the procession.

Kohima inter-ward competition on cleanliness

Kohima, November 6 (MExN):
All the wards under the jurisdiction of Kohima Municipal Council have been informed that the annual inter-ward competition on cleanliness, beautification, illumination and nativity including performances under De-centralized services will take place this month which will be completed by November 25. This will be followed by inter-ward prize distribution and pre-Christmas celebration on November 30.

Prizes for ward competition on cleanliness etc.
*Ist: Rs. 30,000 with running trophy
*2nd: Rs. 20,000 with running trophy
*3rd: Rs. 15,000.
Beside two consolations prize of Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 6000 each.

*Best Managed service: Rs. 15,000
*2nd- Rs. 10,000.
