Chakhesang Hoho Kohima session on November 14
Kohima, November 12 (MExN): The Chakhesang Hoho Kohima will hold its annual general session 2011 on November 14 at Jubilee Hall, Chakhesang Baptist Church Kitsubozou, Kohima from 10:00 AM onwards. Minister for health & family welfare Kuzholuzo Nienu will be the guest speaker. Former minister K. Therie will also exhort the gathering while greetings will be shared by Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO) president Sovenyi. The function will also marked by adoption of constitution and emblem, secretary report, installation of new office bearers, folk song and release of Kohima Chakhesang Hoho Census 2010. All presidents of village units have been requested to compulsorily attend the session along with at least 5 members each. Public leaders, CPO, CGOF, CYF, CSUK, CWSK, church leaders and well wishers are also invited to grace the session.
Ahuna festival in Kohima on Nov 15
Kohima, November 12 (MExN): The Tuensang & Kiphire Districts Sumi Kuqhakulu Kohima will celebrate Ahuna festival on November 15 at the residence of Kughazhe Yepthomi, director arts and culture at Bayavü Colony, Kohima at 10:00 AM. All Tuensang & Kiphire Districts Sumi Kuqhakulu Kohima resident of Kohima, in-laws, students of T&K, DSSK and well wishers are cordially invited to the celebration. Kheshito Yepthomi will speak on the topic Ahuna celebration. The highlight of the programme will be cultural show, folk song followed by Ahuna feast.All community members have been requested to come in traditional attires at the venue by 9:30 AM.
New born care week
Kohima, November 12 (MExN): The state’s department of health and family welfare is organizing a seminar under the theme “Essential new born care” on November 15 at Hotel Japfü, Kohima at 10:00 AM. The seminar is to commemorate the observance of new born care week during November 15 to 21. Sano Vamuzo, chairperson, Nagaland State Commission for Women will grace the seminar as special guest. The programme will be chaired by Menukhol John, commissioner & secretary health and family welfare.
