NIDA general body meeting on Nov 16
Kohima, November 15 (MExN): The general body meeting of Nagaland In-Service Doctor’s Association (NIDA) will take place on November 16, 2011 at the directorate conference hall, Kohima. The meeting will be witnessed by report from president, general secretary and treasurer, election of office bearers and any other pressing issues. All the members have been requested to attend the meeting positively. Director and HoD has been requested to issue direction to all senior officers to attend the said meeting. All CMOs & MS have been requested to attend with their respective team positively. They are also requested to inform all the members under their domain. This was stated in a circular issued by NIDA president Dr. H. Hotokhu Chishi and secretary, Dr. Phyantsuthung.
Revival hour at NBC from Nov 17 to 20
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): The Nungying Baptist Church will be conducting a Revival hour on November 17 to 20 at Nungying Baptist Church. A press note issued by Rentsamo Kithan, Pastor Nungying Baptist Church stated that the speaker of the revival programme will be Rev. R. Lotha, Pastor Tsungiki Baptist Church and Rev. Jonah , Pastor Diphupar “A” Lotha Baptist Church. The Nungying Baptist Church has requested all the members of Nungying people residing outside the village to come and receive blessing during the revival hour. Further, all the church members are requested to pray for the programme.
Sree Ayyappa Pooja at Kohima
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): Sree Ayyappa Mandala Pooja 2011 will be held at Sree Sree Radhakrishna Temple, Chandmari, Kohima from November 17 to 28, 2011. A press note issued by K.V.Rajendranath, President, Pooja Samithy informed that various Poojas start at 5.30 a.m to 7.30 a.m and evening. Pooja would start at 4.30 p.m to 7.00 p.m every day. The note also stated that Arathy and Bhajans by various organizations and Prasad distribution will grace the occasion.
State NCP elects two as State Secretaries
Kohima, November 15 (MExN): The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has stated that on the recommendation of Naiba Ndang, president, Nationalist Congress Party Nagaland State, the Party High Command had approved the appointment of Saikha Zhimomi and Vanthungo Odyuo as State Secretaries of NCP Nagaland State with immediate effect. A press note issued by M. Asie Yalie, secretary NCP Nagaland State stated that the NCP Nagaland State hoped that their appointment as Secretaries at the State level parent body will certainly strengthen the party in Zunheboto and Wokha districts in particular and Nagaland State in general.
Zeliang People’s Org, Kohima formed
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): The Zeliang people residing in Kohima Town held its general meeting in Pausui Zeliang’s residence on November 12 and formed a new team of office bearers for tenure of three years. The house unanimously resolved to name the organisation as “Zeliang People’s Organisation, Kohima”. The new team will be lead by Visa Meru – President; Ikobe Miechu - Vice President; Joshua - General Secretary; Rangsilang - Joint Secretary; Melumlung - Treasurer and Executive Members : Pauleu Liegise, Namdigong, Rutmakbo, Mitwatei, Isapdaibe and D. Roger.
‘CAO’ NSCN/GPRN notifies
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): The ‘CAO’ NSCN/GPRN Asalu Zeliangrong in a ress release has notified that the burning of forests or jungles, hunting, fishing, using poisonous gases in the rivers, plying of vehicles carrying timber from ZE-Nnui to Peren town and Leikie to Peren town during the construction and repairing of the roads in the area. It was also stated that the defaulters would be dealt strictly and fine would be imposed. It was further mentioned that the area people are urged to comply with the restriction notification made for the betterment of the area people.
Bade Prayer Centre completes 25 years
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): The Chakhesang Baptist Churches Council Dimapur Area celebrated its 25th anniversary of its prayer ministry of Bade Prayer Centre on November 12 with the Rev. Vezopa Tetseo, Executive Secretary, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council and Rev. V.K. Nuh General Secretary, Council of Naga Baptist Fellowship, as its main speakers. Greetings were delivered by Kuzholuzo Nienu, Minister for health and Family welfare, Government of Nagaland and Chotisu Sazo, Parliamentary Secretary, Women and Child Development, Social welfare department, Nagaland. All the representatives from the fifteen Baptist churches under CBCC existing under Dimapur District attended the celebration.
DMC informs all business establishments
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): The Quality Control and the Sanitation Cell of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) jointly informs all hotels, restaurants, shops and all other business establishments within the jurisdiction of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) to keep the inner and outer ambiance neat and clean, especially the kitchen, for the forthcoming festive season and Hornbill festival as well. A press note issued by Tokheli Kikon, Advisor, DMC & In-charge of Quality Control stated that there would be surprise checks to find out the quality and sanitation aspects of all business establishments, to ensure neat and clean ambiance. Therefore, all business establishments are informed to immediately start to keep their surroundings neat and clean.
Mekokla village celebrates Tokhu Emong
Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): The Mekokla village under Wokha district celebrated Tokhu Emong on November 7 at Mekokla local ground. The function was chaired by O. P Ezung, head GB. Tokhvü nsika khen was presented by Baptist and Catholic Church. Significance of the Tokhu was delivered by Eramo, Rhyuzamo. The function was well attended by the villagers and culminated with a football exhibition match of the church deacons and the village council. This was stated in a press release issued by VDB Mekokla village secretary, Wozamo Odyou.

Kiphire, November 15 (MExN): All applicants that the drought relief for Kiphire District for the year 2009-10 will be distributed during the office hours from November 17 onwards to November 30 from the office of the undersigned from 11.00 Am onwards. Therefore, all applicants are hereby informed to collect the same by producing the receipt issued by this office. This was informed in a press note issued by Tridibesh Roy, Deputy Commissioner, Kiphire.
National Press Day today
Kohima, November 15 (DIPR): The National Press Day will be observed on November 16 at the Kohima Press Club Kohima (Old Directorate of IPR) at 11 a.m. under the theme ‘Media as an Instrument of Public Accountability’.
Chief Information Commissioner, Lalhuma IAS (Rtd) will grace the occasion as the chief guest. President KPC, K. Nurumi will chair the programme who will also deliver the welcome address and give the introduction. Editor Morung Express, Along Longkumer will be the theme speaker while Naga Idol 5:10 Renbeni Odyuo will present a special song and the vote of thanks will be given by DPRO Kohima, Asangla Imsong.
National Press Day is observed throughout the country on 16th November every year in accordance to the declared observance day by the Press Council of India, which is a statutory body under the Government of India.

Dimapur, November 15 (MExN): Longleng VDB Conference will be held on November 17 at Longleng Town Hall with S. Pangnyu Phom, Parliamentary Secretary, RD & REPA, Nagaland as the chief guest. Government High School, Yongphang will be inaugurated during the occasion.
