Power supply to resume at earliest in Phek
Dimapur, November 30 (MExN): Power supply to Phek district has been severely affected in the last few days. A press note issued by the Executive Engineer, Transmission Division, Kohima stated that this has been caused due to up gradation works being undertaken in 132/33KV Meluri Sub Station. “Due to some unforeseen problems, there has been delay in completing the work within the scheduled time. It is therefore to express regret for the inconvenience caused to our esteemed consumers and to inform that the work is in full swing for completion by November 30, 2011,” stated the note.

Kohima, November 30 (MExN): The Accounts Officer, Accountant General (A & E) has informed all the retired officials that all out efforts are being made to settle pension cases at the earliest. The Accounts Officers has informed that any complaints or grievances, the retired officials or department, may contact the deputy accountant general (A & E) Mukesh Lal during office hour at 0370-2240794.
AISGDF Central committee meeting
Kohima, November 30 (MExN): The All India State Government Drivers’ Federation (AISGDF) (Central Committee) meeting will be held at Chennai (Tamil Nadu) on December 10 and 11 at Nehru Stadium Conference hall. JACWR meeting on Dec 3
Dimapur, November 30 (MExN): The Joint Action Committee on Women Reservation (JACWR) comprising of NMA, Watsu Mungdang, ENWO, NWHD and TWO has convened a meeting on December 3, 2011 at the L.C.S. Building Kohima at 10.00 am. A press note issued by Joint Action Committee on Women Reservation stated that all presidents & secretary’s, along with two or three executive members from all tribe apex women organizations and Kohima base women organizations are requested to attend the said meeting positively.

Kiphire DPDB celebrates pre-Christmas
Kiphire, November 30 (DIPR): The DPDB meeting of Kiphire district coinciding with pre-Christmas programme was held on November 30 at the residence of Deputy Commissioner Kiphire. Parliamentary Secretary for CAWD conveyed Christmas greeting to the people of Kiphire district and exhorted them to live peacefully. Re-iterating the slogan of DAN Government, ‘Peace for Development and Development for Peace’, he called upon the people to cooperate with the Government for development and to bring permanent peace in the State. Torechu appealed to the people to renew their mindset and to reconcile with Christ so that celebration of Christmas would have a deeper meaning. Project Director DRDA Thungjamo Khuvung spoke on the significance of Christmas while SDO (C) Athrila delivered the welcome address and vote of thanks was pronounced by CMO Dr. I. Sungit. The programme was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Kiphire. All head of offices, DBs & GBs and NGOs attended the function.
