Stakeholder for Dimapur Solar City Cell meeting

Dimapur, December 3 (MExN):
A meeting of the 1st stakeholder for development on Dimapur Solar City Cell along with Darashaw & Company PVT Ltd, Mumbai team will be held at Hotel Saramati on December 5 at 10:00 am. New & Renewable Energy, Kohima Director Er TS Angami in a press release informed that the meeting has been called to discuss the action plan for preparation of “Master Plan”. Therefore, interested stakeholders can attend the meeting.

Dimapur DPDB meeting preponed

Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): In view of the visit of DEONER Minister to Nagaland, the DPDB meeting scheduled to be held on December 5 at 11:00 am at Shokhuvi is preponed to 10:00 am. Dimapur DC N Hushili Sema, IAS in a press release has requested all the members to note the change of timing and attend the meeting positively.

Fire crackers banned at Zunheboto

Zunheboto, December 3 (DIPR):
In view of environmental hazards and the law and order situation ADC Zunheboto has banned sale, import and bursting of cracker in Zunheboto district with immediate effect. Defaulters will be penalised as per law.

BTC students conduct cleanliness drive at Pfutsero

Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): The community of Baptist Theological College organized Cleanliness Drive on December 3 at Pfutsero Town. About 180 students and faculty and staff joined hands in cleaning Pfutsero Town. The Chakhesang Women Welfare Society provided hand cloves and masks to all the members for the social work. The ADC, Pfutsero extended help in cleanliness drive by providing Town Council’s truck. The College authority in a press note stated ‘we did this Cleanliness Drive with the Motto: Cleanliness is next to Godliness. We humbly appeal to the citizens of Pfutsero Town to keep the Town and their surrounding need and clean. Let us make our Town clean and beautiful.’

NLA calls meeting

Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): For the examination of the report of the Comptroller and auditor general of India for the year 2009-2010, evidence meeting of the Committee on Public accounts with the departmental representatives of Home (Police), public health engineering, employment and craftsmen and agriculture has been fixed on December 12. The allocation of date and time for each department are been intimated to the concerned department through a spate official letter, informed a press release issued by NLA secretary AE Lotha.

SSUK elects new office bearers

Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): The Sangtam Students’ Union Kohima (SSUK) has elected a new team of office bearers and executive council. The office bearers headed by Y. Dekhingpila as President, Yangthirba as V-President, C. Rosemary Rüdy as General Secretary and Khumpise as Assistant General Secretary and the Executive Council will be headed by Atsang as Chairman and Atsala Anar as Executive Secretary. This was informed in a press release issued by SSUK General Secretary.
 
Longleng observes disabilities day

Longleng, December 3 (MExN):
The International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2011 the District Mission Authority (SSA), Longleng, Yingli Mission Society and Longleng Parents’ Association of the Disabled (LOPAD) jointly organized a programme at Longleng on December 3. Rhosietho Ngouri, SDO (Civil) and Kilang Walling, Additional SP, Longleng were the chief guest and guest of honor respectively.
A press note issued by the Yingli Mission Society informed that the programme was attended by about 170 participants including PwDs, Parents of PwDs, District Administration, students, Teachers, churches and well wishers held in EBRC, Hall, Longleng.  Themjen Phom, Chairman, YMS gave a key note address and Taujei Phom, PwD member spoke on behalf of the person with disabilities (PwD) and his personal experiences. He called PwD members to come forward with self motivation and know rights while Lemph Phom & his friends presented a beautiful  song.
Voice of concern was delivered by GS Rao ToT, EBRC, Longleng and Dr. Shasinlo Tep, DTO, Longleng. Rhosietho Nguori, SDO (Civil) in his speech assured his fullest support in addressing the need of the special people while Kilang Walling, Addl. SP, in his speech encouraged the members present not to over shadow the ‘ables’ with ‘disables’, change the mindset of the people for a ‘change’ and called for creation of users’ friendly environment.
