DMC informs colony chairman & GB

Dimapur, December 5 (MExN):
All the colony chairman & GB under DMC jurisdiction are informed that there will be a meeting jointly organised by New & Renewable Energy Department and DMC on December 8 at 11:00 am in the DMC Office premises to discuss the Dimapur Solar City Programme. DMC CEO Imtirenla Jamir in a press release has requested all to make it convenient to attend the meeting in time without fail.

WATSAN training on Total Sanitation Campaign

Dimapur, December 5 (MExN):
An awareness and capacity building training for Water and Sanitation (WATSAN) Committee members on Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) would be held on December 6, 2011 at the office of the Executive Engineer (EE), (PHED) Rural division, Dimapur at 10am. In a release, P.Khetoi Sema, EE (PHED)Rural division, Dimapur has informed that at least 5(five) representatives from the selected villages under Dimapur district including WATSAN chairman, secretary, WATSAN women representative and two(2) WATSAN members must attend the training without fail.
 
YBBA youth department triennial convention held
 
Shamator, December 5 (DIPR): The three-day 37th Yimchung Baptist Boru Amukhungto (YBBA) Youth Department Triennial convention was held at Thsopokur village from December 2 to 4, under the theme ‘Restoration of His Kingdom’. During the convention, Praise & worship was led by Kheheto Theological College Yuikor and the speakers were Advocate, Mukam, Mission Secretary YBBA, Hankiu, President YABAYD Tseurito, Executive Secretary YBBA, A. Akum.
Parliamentary Secretary for IPR & Statistics, R. Tohanba who exhorted the youths, recalled his youthful days and also urged them to be more sincere, discipline and responsible for a better future. He said “Youths are the future leaders”, and quote the scripture “don’t let anyone despise you during your youth time” he also said “give your best today, maintain your moral activities and be self control which will lead you to a great and responsible leader tomorrow”. 
Advisor for VG and GB Affairs MLA Kejong who exhorted the cultural programme thanked the organizers and the youth department for upholding the cultural values and exhorted the youths to give the same spirit to the younger generation so that they may maintain it in days to come.
The valedictory service was followed by talent shows, which included songs, dances, folk songs, dramas and jokes. Around 8500 delegates from 75 villages attended the convention.
