‘Metha Thinuo Krotho’ raffle draw date changed

All concerned are informed that the draw date for the ‘Metha Thinuo Krotho’ raffle has been postponed to January 10, 2012 due to logistic reasons. The members and well wishers are requested to bear with the change of date.  

CCSUK General Meeting on Dec 10

Kohima, December 8 (MExN):
The Chang College Students Union Kohima (CCSUK) will hold a general meeting on December 10 at Red Cross Conference Hall, Kohima at 10:00 am.  All the students from Class 11 and above have been requested to attend the meeting without fail. The members have been requested to come with their traditional attire and agendas.  CCSUK president also extended invitation to all former leaders and tribal leaders of Kohima at the general meeting.

Governor to lay Foundation Stone

Kohima, December 8 (DIPR):
The Governor of Nagaland, Nikhil Kumar shall lay the Foundation Stone for the first College of Nursing in Nagaland at CIHSR, Referral Hospital 4th Mile Dimapur at 12:30 p.m. on December 10.

KBES sunday school rally at Dimapur

Children Education Department (Christian Ntsinran Yangro) under Kyong Baptist Ekhumkho Sanrhyutsu (KBES) is organizing a Sunday School Rally at Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur from January 3 to 6 with a theme “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly”. Launching of low cost indigenously designed feed crusher

Kohima, December 8 (MExN):
The launching of low cost indigenously designed feed crusher (Pedü) and technology demonstration of Biomas fired dryer and distribution of sanitary napkins will take place on December 9 at Sakraba town from 12 Noon onwards. CK Nihekhu, NCS, secretary for science & technology will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Short speech will delivered by Lanukaba, president CONFU Nagaland while brief note on the genesis of Pedü will be given by Nerayi D. Vadeo, president CONFU Phek unit. Keynote address will be delivered the innovator- Dr. Zavei Heise, senior scientific officer, department of science & technology. The programme will be followed by free distribution of sanitary Napkins to women folk.

Porbami Social Club Kohima 28th session

School education deptt compiling documents

Kohima, December 8 (MExN):
The school education department is compiling documents to be sent to DPC for regularization of officiating promotions of officers under the school education department. In this connection, all the concerned officers from the level of the headmaster to director under the school education department to bring along with the documents- like Ist appointment order and subsequent promotion orders from the assistant headmaster to director on December 20 at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima at 11:00 AM. The cases of those officers who fail to submit their documents on the appointed day will not be sent to DPC, the office memorandum received here said.

ZPON resolves not to attend Jalukie meet

Kohima, December 8 (MExN):
The Zeliang People Organization, Nagaland had an emergency meeting and decided not to attend the consultative meeting at Jalukie on December 9 convened by the Zeliangrong Baudi. “Any decision taken at the consultative meeting, the Zeliang People Organization, Nagaland will not be party it,” a released received here said today.

ZVYSA golden jubilee from Dec 16 to 21

The Zhadima Village Youth & Sports Organization will be celebrating its golden jubilee from December 16 to 30. The celebration shall be held in a consequential manner where the preliminary round will commence from December 16 to 21 while the main event of the jubilee extravaganza will be held from December 27 to 30. ZVYSO requested every Zhadima citizens to come and participate and exclusive be a part of this epic golden jubilee event.

Bridge connecting Governor’s camp opened

Kohima, December 8 (DIPR): SDO (C) Ralan, Kethosituo Sekhose inaugurated the newly constructed bridge connecting Liphanyan Village and Governor’s Camp on December 6. The bridge was constructed by Liphanyan Village Council with grants awarded under the Thirteenth Finance Commission and the utilization of which is being monitored by the District Administration in Nagaland. The bridge also connects the Forest Ranger’s Office, NAP Camp and the approach to Doyang River.
Kethosituo Sekhose congratulated the Village Council for being able to construct the RCC bridge within two months. He stressed on the need to develop such infrastructure for the progress and development of the area. He also reiterated the objectives of the grants being awarded under the Thirteenth Finance Commission and emphasized on the need to utilize the grants for creating assets that can generate revenue and that can be sustained in the long run.
Village Council Chairman Liphanyan, Tsenzamo Kithan, chaired the programme and Associate Pastor Liphanyan, Lawrence, offered dedicatory prayer. Forest Ranger Ralan and other Government Officials of the Sub-division attended the programme.
