Kohima Sumi Hoho elects new office bearers

Kohima, December 11 (MExN):
The Kohima Sumi Hoho held its annual general meeting on November 29 last at Red Cross Complex. The Hoho elected its office bearers for the tenure 2011-2014. President- Edward K. Zhimomi, vice president- Er. Hevito Labo, general secretary- Lhokiye Yeputhomi, joint secretary- Kahuto Zhimomi, cultural secretary- Hevuto Shohe, joint cultural secretary- Yelvi Awomi, finance secretary- Tokuho Zhimo, publicity & information secretary- Er. Shihoto Chopi, Cemetery in-charge- Kihoyi Awomi and Henito Kesho as banker.

NACYA silver jubilee from Dec 16 to 18

Kohima, December 11 (MExN):
The Northern Angami Catholic Youth Association (NACYA) will hold its silver jubilee celebration (1986-2011) from December 16 to 18 at St. Stephens Church Riisoma Village with the theme If anyone loves Me, He will keep My word (St John 14.23). The three day program will feature unveiling of the jubilee monolith by Rev. Fr. Jerome Moshary SDB , Parish Priest , Christ King Church on December 16 at 3.00 pm, on December 17 there will be Holy Mass, annual meeting, seminar on various topics with Fr. Alex Vizo, Parish priest , SFS Kohima town and Fr. Solomon Vizo , Reactor , Good Shepherd Seminary as the speakers ,followed by Talent night and on December 18 at 10.00 am , Very Rev Fr Neisalhou Carolus Kuotsu, Vicar General Kohima Diocese will preside over the Solemn Eucharistic Celebration.

PUK elects new members for 2012-14

Dimapur, December 11 (MExN):
Peren Union Kohima (PUK) held its 13th Annual Session on December 10, 2011 at the residence of its Advisor Pagai Ndang. Election was held for the tenure of 2012 to 2014 and its office bearers are: President- Pagai Ndang, General Secretary- Er. Tsiamchi Ndang, Treasurer-Keheipeu Sephe, Auditors- Keyileuhingbe Ndang, Hainganglung Ndang, Keyireugabe Hegui, Advisor- Gongbeu Ndang, Fellowship Committee- Kilamhungle Ndang, Convenor -Abel Hegalei, Kuleuzin Hegalei. This was stated in a press note issued by Keyireugabe Hegui, General Secretary, PUK.

YSUD supports ENSUD demand

Dimapur, December 11 (MExN):
The Yimchungru Students Union Dimapur Town (YSUD) strongly supports the demand of the Eastern Nagaland Students Union Dimapur (ENSUD) for a concrete clarification from Nagaland Adventure Motors Sports Association (NAMSA), with regard to the discrimination meted out to Lemei Phom during the recent Hornbill Motor Rally. A press note issued by president Y.Kihoto and general secretary N.Chipong stated, “It is very much disheartening to know about the unjustified result declared by NAMSA being the premier and repute organization”. Further, the Union appeals NAMSA to justify on the matter at the earliest to ENSUD in order to avoid further complication.
