AAUD meeting on Dec 22
Dimapur, December 18 (MExN): Akuluto Area Union Dimapur (AAUD) has convened '2011 Review' meeting December 22, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the union's banker Ikishe Village. Therefore all the office bearers, village/town representatives and advisors are requested to attend the meeting. This was informed in a press note issued by Akito, General Secretary AAUD.
Wine festival from Dec 19 to 21
Dimapur, December 18 (MExN): The Coporation North East Farmers’ Chizami will be organizing a “Wine Festival”, the first ever festival in around the locality starting from December 19 to 21, 2011. A press note issued by Dekhro Lasuh, secretary general, CNEF stated that the main objective of the festival is to maintain the food culture like juices such as grapes, banana, pineapple, gooseberry, emblica, wild apple, etc and grain wine. The chief guest and guest of honor will be Nerayi Vadeo, President, Phek District Farmers Union (PDFU) and Dr. R.K. Singh, Public Co-ordinator, KVK, Porba respectively. The note also stated that on day one, the programme will be chaired by Melite Domeh, President Chizami Town Chakhesang Students Union (CTCSU) while exhortation will be given by Teisovikulie Therie, Apele Azhie and Vetsope Venuh. The highlight of the first day will be pole climbing which is an open competition.
