RSO general session on Dec 27
Kohima, December 23 (MExN): The 12th general session of the Razeba Students’ Organization will be held on December 27. Zavise Rume, project coordinator SCERT Nagaland and president North East Psychological Counsellors Association will be the chief guest. He will speak on the conference theme “Role of education in modern society.”
CSDD reiterates statement
Dimapur, December 23 (MExN): The Consumer Society Dimapur District (CSDD) in a statement issued by Khekivi Z. Wotsa, General Secretary, CSDD has reiterated its earlier statement informing the retailers and commodity manufacturers to clearly display or print MRP, date of manufacture and expiry and the name of unit/goods/products etc for convenient of all consumers. It also directed all the hotels and restaurants to maintain proper hygiene. The society further informs all business community not to entertain any individuals or groups collecting donation in the name of Christmas.
It has also informed public to strictly insist on the rates of bricks fixed by the administration and also reminded the cement and sand dealers to desist from adulterating the construction materials. For any grievances public may contact phones 9862574326/9612014456.
The society also acknowledged the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India, New Delhi to create awareness among masses and help the common man to know their rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 by launching Nagaland State Consumer Helpline on December 24 coinciding with the celebration of National Consumer Day.
MKSU to celebrate golden jubilee
Kohima, December 23 (MExN): Minister for health & family welfare Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu will grace the golden jubilee celebration of Middle Khomi Students Union (MKSU), which is scheduled for December 27 to 28 at Community Hall under the theme “Envisioning excellence.”
The minister will grace the inaugural session on December 27.
MLA Deo Nukhu, advisor science & technology, art & culture and NRE Nagaland will be the chief guest at the talent exposition while Zhopayi Nakro, president Chakhesang Youth Front will be the guest of honour at the closing function.
Neichüte Doulo, co-ordinator (CEO) Entrepreneurs Associates will be the jubilee speaker. Vedühü, Retd. teacher will be the jubilee feast father. Presidential address will be delivered by Küvera C. Nakro.
The jubilee celebration will be marked by solo, duet indigenous, dance, folktale competition, prepared speech and tug war.
MOU signed between WIPRO and Municipal Affairs Cell
Dimapur, December 23 (MExN): With the signing of the MOU between WIPRO and Municipal Affairs Cell on December 21, 2011 and inception power point presentation on December 22 in the presence of Neithu C Thur IAS, Secretary MAC and Dr. Toshimanen Ozukum, Additional Director MAC the urban local bodies in Nagaland will be equipped with E-Governance through globally renown consultancy services.
A press note received here stated that this will improve efficiency and effectiveness in interaction between local government and its citizens with the help of electronic means. This will also improve quality of internal local government operation to support and stimulate good governance and bring transparency and accountability in the governance of urban local bodies. The signing of the MOU is the achievement of one of the reforms under JNNURM and 9 conditions under thFC which is a milestone for the present government.
