29th ACYA conference from Jan 13 to 15

Kohima, December 28 (MExN):
The  29th  general conference  of Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) will be held from January  13 to 15 , 2012 at St. Joseph’s Church ,Viswema with the theme “All Nations  will be blessed through you”(Gal.3:8). The speakers for the conference are Very Reverend Fr. Neisalhou Carlus, Vicar general, Diocese of Kohima, Rev. Fr. Keduolhou George . Spiritual Director , ACYA and V. Lucas Meyase, First ACYA President. The celebrant at the Main Eucharist will be Most. Rev.(Dr) James Thoppil,  DD, Bishop of Kohima  and  Rev Fr. Victor D’ Mello SJ.   

Assam Rifles Advent Christmas programme

Dimapur, December 28 (MExN):
In the ongoing efforts of 21 Assam Rifles with an objective of ushering an era of peace amongst the locals of Zunheboto an Advent Christmas programme was organised in coordination with Sumi Totomo Hoho (STH), Nagaland under the aegis of HQ 7 Sector Assam Rifles. The theme for the programme being ‘Joy to the World’, Offg Comdt expressed his views on peace and togetherness which the locals should have in the present prevailing situation. He also distributed gifts to 100 needy children from various Sunday School to help them celebrate this festive season of Christmas. The needy children were selected from different villages and colonies in and around Zunheboto, Nagaland. Sweets were distributed at the end of the programme. The most heartening fact was the overwhelming response from the local population who came all the way to actively participate in the programme and appreciated the efforts of 21 Assam Rifles in ushering an era of peace in the area.

WSBAK & Korean music and painting camp

All the churches under Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Küqhakulu (WSBAK) are informed that the Association Music Ministry in collaboration with Korean Musicians is organising music and painting training camp at Aküvüto from January 2 till 12.
