LCN general meeting on Jan 4

Dimapur, December 30 (MExN):
The Liangmai Council Nagaland (LCN) general meeting will be held on January 4 and the arrival for the same will be on January 3 at Npuma Village. Every village is requested to come with four representatives. Executives of LPO, Jalukie are directed to attend without fail. Election of office bearers for the tenure 2012-2015 will be also held.  It is also informed that discussion will be held on January 3 at 6:00 pm. Therefore, every village is requested to come with agenda.

Shillong Chamber Choir concert at Kma

Kohima, December 30 (MExN):
Shillong Chamber Choir (SCC) will be staging a Concert on January 4, at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima, at 4:00 pm onwards. The Concert is being organized in aid of Kohima Village Students’ Union (KVSU) Platinum Jubilee which is slated to be held in 2012.
Tickets are available at Kohima Plaza Bakery, Razhü Point, Plaza Bakery High School Junction, Plaza Bakery BOC, Big Bites, Home Makers and Central park, near Razhü Point. Ticket Prizes are ranged at Rs 5000 (Family), Rs 2000 (Couple/Admit Two) and Rs 200 (General Ticket). Along with the SCC, the KVSU Jubilee Band will perform at the said Concert, comprising of Local Artists form Kohima Village.
Meanwhile, special arrangement for Transportation will be provided. City buses and local taxis will ply from Razhü Point and High School Junction, particularly for the said Concert.
 
ROVC calls land owner’s meeting
 
Dimapur, December 30 (MExN): The Ralan Old Village Council (ROVC) has informed all concerned land owners under Ralan Old Village Area that there will be a general land owner’s emergency meeting on January 7 at 11:00 am in the community hall of Ralan old village.
ROVC, Wokha chairman Orenthung Lotha in a press note informed that the emergency meeting is called by the Village Council to discuss important and emergency issues relating to the land owners of the Village.
The Village Council has resolved that all the land owners should come with their original land documents and deeds which may be located in the plains or hills sectors and inclusive of both undeveloped and developed plots and areas.
The Village Council has also resolved that all the land owners should attend the meeting without fail and whoever is absent in the said meeting shall be liable for explanations. The Council shall not be responsible for any complaints in cases of failure to attend the meeting; the Council shall not be responsible if co-operations is not extended by the Village Council. All are requested to attend the emergency meeting with positive and constructive agendas.

Workshop on ‘marketing of spices in NER’ on January 6-7

Dimapur, December 30 (MExN):
The Central Institute of Horticulture (CIH), Nagaland in collaboration with National Horticulture Board, Gurgaon and Department of Horticulture, Nagaland is organizing two days regional workshop on “marketing of spices in NER” on January 6 and 7, 2012.
Director CIH, Nagaland has stated in a press note that the North east region has no doubt has huge potential in production of spice crops, however, the farming community is often discouraged when it comes to marketing the same due to poor market linkages. Hence, an effort is being made to bring various concerned stakeholders to a common platform to identify the gaps and address the key issues in marketing of spices from the region, so as to boost up this sector in the region. This workshop would be attended by various stakeholders involved in production and marketing of spices from different states of NER.
Parliamentary Secretary (Horticulture), Govt. of Nagaland will grace the inaugural function on January 6, 2012 at 10:00 am at Police Complex, Chumukedima, Dimapur Nagaland.

NCRFCS Dimapur free concert on Dec 31
 
Dimapur, December 30 (MExN): The Nagaland State Council Farmers Co-operative Society (NCRFCS) has organized a free concert on December 31 starting from 9:00 am to celebrate the countdown of 2012 at Naga Shopping Arcade, Supermarket Dimapur under the theme ‘To preserve our Naga youth.’
A press release issued by NCRFCS Dimapur district, president, Hovito Sumi stated that the concert will be presenting some of the best solo artists and band from Nagaland including Incipit band, Ayala Jamir (Naga Idol Finalist 2010), Among Ngullie (Winner of East Wave NE Singing Super Star), Prem Rawat (1st Runner Up of NE Singing Super Star), Ronnie Odyuo (1st Runner Up of Highway Star 2010), Naro Changkija (Kids for Fame Season 3), Fable Ao (Kids for Fame Season 3) and various artists.
The society has invited all citizens of Dimapur from different walks of life to come and witness the concert and to celebrate the countdown of 2012.
Meanwhile, the NCRFCS Dimapur district has also ‘especially’ requested the department of fire service and law enforcing authority to stand intake till the end of the programme.
Further, the organizers have strongly appealed to all individual and general public to extend fullest co-operation and to restraint from any unwanted activities, so as to ensure the success of the programme with joy and peace till welcoming 2012.
