KPC informs on membership renewal

Kohima, February 6 (MExN):
All the members of the Kohima Press Club have been informed to renew their membership for the year 2011-2012 by paying Rs. 100 and Rs. 200 for fresh registration and submit the same to Treasurer, KPC on or before February 28. This was informed in a press note issued by Chizokho Vero, Treasurer, KPC.

Meluri cultural day on Feb 18 & 19

Dimapur, February 6 (MExN):
The 33rd cultural session of Meluri would be held on February 18 and 19 at Meluri. The cultural session would be graced by Yitachu, parliamentary secretary, law and justice as chief guest on the first day while Deo Nukhu, advisor, science and technology, NRE, art and culture will be the chief guest on the second day of the cultural programme.

Nagaland Prayer Festival 2011 information

Dimapur, February 6 (MExN):
All the prayer and counsellor members of the upcoming Nagaland Prayer Festival 2011, organized by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council, are informed that there will be prayer cum orientation program on February 8 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Chakhesang Baptist Church Dimapur.  Also, all the organising committee and sub-committee members of Nagaland Prayer festival 2011, are requested to attend the consultation meeting on February 8 at Eastern Bible College, Bank Colony at 3:00 pm. This was informed in a press note issued by the publicity committee, Nagaland Prayer Festival 2011.  

NE agri expo to become annual event

Kohima, February 6 (MExN):
The state government has now decided to make the North East Agri Expo as an annual event. This was result of the success of the 2nd Agri Expo held last year with increased participation of buyers, sellers and facilitators. Making NE Agri Expo as annual event will result in more marketing opportunities for the farmers and other business deals for our entrepreneurs, Governor Nikhil Kumar said in Republic Day speech this year.

Oxford & Dimensions Book launch

Dimapur, February 6 (MExN):
Rhythms & Reasons, a poetry book comprising of 63 poems will be launched at Oxford Book Store Chennai today with Rev. Dr. A. M. Chinnappa, Archbishop of Chennai & Mylapore and Noel Manuel, director of Dimensions as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.

PDSA election on Feb 8

Kohima, February 6 (MExN):
The election for the new team of Phek District Sports Association (PDSA) for the tenure 2011-2013 will take place on February 8 at Lephori. Mentionably, the ongoing 30 meet of PDSA at Lephori will conclude on February 9 with Er. Dikhrolo Mero, Chief Engineer, PWD (R&B), Nagaland, as the guest of honour.

YouthNet anniversary today

Kohima, February 6 (MExN):
The YouthNet is all set to observe its 5th anniversary on February 7 at 6:00 pm at The Heritage, Old DC Bungalow, Kohima. In commemoration of the completion of five years, a programme entitled YouthNet Opportunity Express will be launched by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.

Zbto VCC and Head GB meting on Feb 9

A meeting of All Village Council Chairman and Head GB or his representative is been convened  in connection with the IInd phase of Census Operation 2011, at Town hall, Zunheboto town at 11:00 am on February 9, 2011. All concerned are directed to attend this important meeting without fail. “T.A and refreshment will be provided by the Census Department Nagaland,” informed a press note issued by Zakabo V Rotokha, extra assistant commissioner, DC & Principal Census Officer, Zunheboto.
