NRDSA conference 2011 today
Kohima, March 1 (MExN): The Nagaland Rural Development Service Association (NRDSA) will hold its conference 2011 on March 2 at 11:00 AM at Hotel Japfü, Kohima under the theme “Sustainable development.” S. Pangnyu Phom, parliamentary secretary for rural development & SIRD will grace the conference as the chief guest. Metsubo Jamir, director, rural development will exhort the gathering while keynote address will be delivered by V. Sakhrie, commissioner & secretary, rural development. The Conference will be marked by resolution adoption, introduction of new office bearers for the session 2011-2013 and release of handbook of rural development. Vote of thanks will be proposed by Thungdeno Mozhui, joint secretary, NRDSA.
NSF Presidential Council meet
Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): The Naga Students’ Federation has informed all the federating units and sub-ordinate bodies that the 2nd Presidential Council meeting will be held on March 2 at the Conference Hall, NSF office at 11:00 am. Therefore, NSF general secretary O. Wati Jamir in a press release has asked all the concerned to attend the meeting positively since important issued shall be deliberated and resolved.
NLA speaker convenes BAC meet
Kohima, March 1 (MExN): Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Kiyanilie Peseyie , who is also chairman of Business Advisory Committee, has convened a meeting on March 11 at 11:00 AM in the assembly committee room to finalize the provisional programme of business for the ensuing budget session of the ninth session of the 11th NLA commencing from March 22. All the concerned committee members have been requested to make it convenient to attend the said meeting.
ANPDMRBAA executive meet
Kohima, March 1 (MExN): The All Nagaland Power Department Meter Reader & Bill Assistant Association informed all zonal president that there will be an emergency executive meeting on March 16 at JBKK Hall, PWD Junction Kohima at 10:30 AM. All the zonal presidents have been requested to attend the meeting without fail as the meeting will be discussing important issue. The zonal office bearers have also been requested to submit silver jubilee collection and yearly membership fee on or before March 16 without fail.

Free cataract and IOL eye camp held
Dimapur, March 1 (MExN): A free cataract and IOL eye camp was held at CHC Pfutsero from February 22 to 25. Phek, Chief Medical Officer Dr. S. Hangsing in a press release said that the camp was organized by District Health Society, National Programme for Control of Blindness Phek. Altogether 23 cataract patients were operated with IOL implantation, 12 minor operations were performed and more than 335 out door patients were examined.
The camp was held under the supervision of Dr. Taku Lemtor, Joint Director and State Programme Officer, National Programme for Control of Blindness Kohima and assisted by Dr. Imnapokim, eye surgeon and District Nodal Officer (NPCB) Phek. The other team members were Zavino (S/N), Neikhrope-U (S/N), Daniel (OT assistant) and Martha (attendant) all from District Hospital Phek.
The District Health Society Phek also expressed gratitude to Dr. Chitale Heise SMO, Dr. Shevo Heise MO and staff of CHC Pfutsero for their co-operation and help rendered during the camp.
