CM to grace Tenyimi Elder’s Meet

Dimapur, March 4 (MExN):
State Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will be gracing the Tenyimi Elder’s Meet on Saturday March 5 at the Community Hall Kuda Village ‘A’ Khel at 10:00 am. The programme which is being organized by the Tenyimi Women’s Union Dimapur Nagaland would also be graced by patrons Kuzholuzo Neinu minister for Health and Family Welfare, Shürhozelie, Minister for Higher Education and Urban Development, T.R. Zeliang Minister for Planning and Vetenary and Animal Husbandry and K.V. Pusa MLA.

3750 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon seized

Dimapur, March 4 (MExN):
The Excise Narcotic enforcement cell duty party on March 2, in a tip of seized 3750 capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon at West Yard Colony, Dimapur. In this connection two persons were arrested and forwarded to judicial custody under the relevant section of Drug & Cosmetic Act 1940. A press release issued by Deputy Commissioner of Excise (NC) Dimapur informed that the party was led by Thatang AIE, Remasanba H/c, Bendang, Senka, Khetoshe, Nemao, Hetovi, Nkhyingsao, Buden, Anglong and Mrs. Merila.

AR donates more in Tuensang

Dimapur, March 4 (MExN):
Coaching Centre at Noklak, Tuensang was inaugurated on March 2 by 1 Assam Rifles. A press note issued by the AR stated that the project was constructed by 1 Assam Rifles, as part of Army Military Civic Action Project (Op Samaritan) under the aegis of Headquarter 7 Sector Assam Rifles. They also inaugurated a community hall at Hukir Village, Tuensang. A gathering of approximate 80 people of Hukir Village witnessed the inaugural function. Toilets at Community Hall Tuensang were inaugurated on the same day where a gathering of approximate 180 people of Tuensang witnessed the inaugural function.

Dimapur District Vet & A. H informs

Dimapur, March 4 (MExN):
The District Veterinary & A. H Officer Dimapur has informed all the applicants who have applied for Livestock and poultry production units 2010-2011 to be implemented under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode under Dimapur district to appear for interview on March 7 at 10:00 am. The interview venue will be in the District Veterinary & A. H Office Dimapur. Applicants are asked to bring the original documents for the same.

Dimensions partners with British Council

Dimapur,  March 4 (MExN):
Dimensions Institute for Education & Research (DIER) has been appointed as Library Partner for the British Council to provide a gateway of learning opportunities to the people of Nagaland.  The agreement was signed at Kolkata on February 25, 2011. Dimensions would promote and sell British Council Library memberships to enable members to access thousands of online books for research and academic purposes. Members can also visit and use British Councils network of libraries in India for reference, stated a press note. MBC elects new team

Kohima, March 4 (MExN):
The Middle Bayavu Colony Ward 11, Kohima under Bayavu Area Panchayat has elected its new team of office bearers for the tenure 2011-2013. Chairman- R. Hillo (Kedulhou), vice chairman- Visezo Chiesotsu, general secretary- C.N. Shidio, assistant general secretary- Khriesangulie Belho, finance secretary- B. Toshi, information and publicity secretary- Beizolie Liezietsu, judicial secretary- Medo Koza, treasurer- N. Merang Jamir. The new team took over the charges of the office activities on February 12 last and held its first executive meeting on February 26. The meeting discussed various agenda and decided to implement urgently for the welfare of the colony.

NSGMB meeting on March 6

Dimapur, March 4 (MExN):
Nagaland Sikh Gurudwara Management Board (NSGMB) meeting will be held at sub office of NSGMB, Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Dimapur on March 6 at 01 pm. NSGMB Secretary General, P.S. Ahluwalia in a press note informed that to look after the Sikh Shrines and their management in the State and Retrospective perspective of Sikhs in Nagaland State are the major agendas of the Board meeting. All the executive Heads of Local Sikh shrines in Tuensung, Mokokchung, Kohima and Dimapur are requested to attend the above said meeting of the Board as per schedule. The Secretary General further informed that for any quarry he may be contacted.

OTC Yangli alumni gathering

Dimapur, March 4 (MExN):
Oriental Theological College, Yangli 2nd Alumni gathering will be held at the college premises on March 9 and 10. L. Phom Lecturer, OTC Alumni Coordinator in a press release said that it is going to be a time of freshening, opportunity to meet old friends and classmates beside to strengthen the seminary. Therefore, all the former graduates are requested to attend in this rare opportunity without fail. Food and logging will be arranged by the college for free of cost.

PACSU 7th general conference

Kohima, March 4 (MExN):
The 7th general conference of Phokhungri Area College Students’ Union will be held from April 6 to 8 at New Thewati village under the theme “Rediscovering Beyond.” T. Kamsang, president NPF 20th Meluri A/C will be the chief guest while Benjamin, teacher, GMS Phokhungri and Yutsolen Yanpahar, teacher GPS Washelo would be the speaker of the conference. All the college students under PACSU have been requested to attend the conference “failing which exemplary action will be necessitated.”

Vadeo Descendant Association meet held

Kohima, March 4 (MExN):
The Vadeo Descendant Association held a meeting at Hotel Cimorb on January 22, 2011 where several confronting issues were deliberated and subsequently resolved to pursue under certain norms and criteria. The house while expressing its confidence on the new team endorsed the same for the further perusal of the same in the long run. Meanwhile, following persons were elected as the office bearers of the Association: president- Zachive Thele, vice-president- Chekhuta Puro and Keveshe Tetseo, finance Secretary- Er. Vekho Swuro, treasurer- Ekhahu Rose. Representative to Vadeo Descendents Association from Zuo Line: Kuovisie Yano and Kezho Line: Razoukhwel Kechu.
