ASU 24th Biennial general conference today
Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): The 24th Biennial general conference of the Angami Students Union (ASU) will be commencing from April 8 to 10, 2011at Sovima village with theme “Reorienting Priorities”. A press note issued by Pelesavi Rurhie, convener publicity informed that delegates of around two to three thousand will be arriving tomorrow from all the four ranges of Angami- Chakhro Western, Northern and Southern to participate in it. The introductory session will begin at 5:00 pm with Savi Liegiese, President Dimapur Naga Council as main guest. All the delegates are requested to be present at the main venue, Sovima Village Local ground by 4:00 pm.
NPF Youth Wing Dimapur meet today
Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): The NPF Youth Wing Dimapur Division will be holding a meeting on April 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at the party office. A press note issued by Penathung Kithan, general secretary (Media) NPF youth Wing, Dimapur informed that all the office bearers are therefore directed to attend the meeting without fail as certain important issues will be discussed.
PKR peace treaty commemoration today
Dimapur, April 7 (DIPR): The commemoration of Phiro-Phenshünyu (PKR) 50 years Peace Treaty (1961-2011) will be held on April 8, 2011 at Phiro village. In the reception programme, dedication of monolith will be done by Rev. M.K. Lorin, followed by release of pigeons and hoisting of flag by CE, PHED Nagaland, Er. Mhondamo Ovung. The oldest man of Phiro village, Lhidemo Odyuo will invoke God’s blessing, while folk dance will be presented by Phiro-Phenshünyu village. Highlights of the formal programme would include adoption of resolutions, release of souvenir, obituary references, speeches by representatives of Phiro and Phenshünyu villages, offering for Joint Mission Project, presentation of folk songs and male voice, Phiro youth. Associate Pastor, City Church, Kohima M. Odyuo will take the time for moment of introspection and prayer while Rev. A. Rapvüo Odyuo will pronounce the benediction.
RWDA general meet on April 9
Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): The Rotomi Welfare Dimapur Area (RWDA) has convened a general meeting on April 9, 2011 at 10:00 am at Er. Kheshito, Banker (RWDA), 4th mile, Dimapur. A press note issued by V. Hoshito Yeptho, secretary RWDA informed all the members to attend to attend the meeting without fail and also to submit subscription, membership and ROM thereof.
Interview for Primary/ Graduate teacher
Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): All concerned candidates are informed that the interview for Primary Teacher and Graduate Teacher in respect of Tuensang district will be held from April 13 to 15, 2011 at 9:00 am in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang. A press note issued by Y. L Jami, IAS, DC Tuensang informed that no separate calling letter will be issued, and all the selected candidates are directed to bring all original education certificates/documents of HSLC and above along with admit card at the time of interview. Meanwhile, a separate press note issued by Rovilatuo Mor, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman District Selection Board, Wokha informed that oral interview for the post of Primary School Teachers and Graduate Teachers for Wokha district candidates shall be held on April 14, 2011 at 10:00 am at the DC’s Conference Hall. The note further informed that the interview will commence with the Primary School Teachers followed by Graduate Teachers as per sequence to serial number in the notification of result. All the candidates are directed to produce their original documents from HSLC onwards and written Admit Cards without fail.
KEH conference from April 12 to 13
Dimapur, April 7 (DIPR): The 5th Kyong Eloe Hoho (KEH) Conference is slated to be held from April 12 to 13, 2011 at Town Hall Wokha with the theme ‘Women: Agent of Change’. Nagaland Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Chumben Murry will grace the occasion as the chief guest. Speakers and Resource persons during the two day conference will include Professor, ETC, Jorhat, Rev. Dr. Ezamo Murry, Member Nagaland State Women Commission, Abeni TCK, Secretary NSAMB, C. Mozhüi, CMO Wokha, Dr. M. Kithan and Member NPSC, Tsümongo Lotha.
Nagaland VDB executive meeting
Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): All the district office bearers and the executive of the Nagaland state VDB association (two members each from all district) are informed that there will be an emergency consultative meeting on April 14, 2011 at CPO hall, Chumukedima Dimapur at 10:00 am. A press note issued by Tali Pongener, president, VDB association, Nagaland informed that all the members are requested to attend the meeting without fail, and travelling allowance will be given to the district that has already paid the affiliation fee.

Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): Poumai Tsiidoumai Me (PTM) general election was held for the tenure 2011-13 at Taphou Phyamai, Senapati on March 30, 2011.
