DC Kohima informs

Kohima, April 23 (DIPR):
Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Bei-u Angami has informed that all Conveners of Village Vision Cell (VVC) of Kohima District that a 2nd phase sensitization programme on ‘Back to the Roots’ will be held on April 26 at 11 am in the Conference Hall of the D.C Kohima. T. A and packed lunch will be borne by the DPDB Kohima. The Conveners of each Village Vision Cell in Kohima District are requested to attend the programme positively.

Diphupar Village Council reconstituted

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN):
The Diphupar Village Council (DVC) in a meeting on April 20, 2011 has unanimously selected a new team of office bearers for the new tenure. A press note issued by Lanutoshi, DVC secretary informed that the council has nominated I. Vitoshe Kinimi as its chairman, Lanutoshi as secretary and K.Kapfo, as advisor. The note also stated that the house reaffirmed to work for the development of the village jurisdiction and with its neighbors. The new team has also reaffirmed to fight against the anti social evils and root out antisocial activities within the village.

WTLPO observes Earth Day

Dimapur, April 23 (MExN):
The Wokha Town Lakhuti Pongdenro Okho (WTLPO) in commemoration of the 40th Earth Day Anniversary had planted trees in and around Wokha Town with a theme “Nurture Nature and Save our Earth” on April 20. WTLPO, President, Mhachan Yanthan in a press release said that volunteers from the WTLPO planted around 300 numbers of trees and spread the awareness of saving our planet. The Soil and water conservative Department Wokha provided trees. The Hoho urged the general public to treat the planted trees as humans and also reminded to join the race, to make the world a better place.

Mini tourist lodge inauguration on April 25

Phek, April 23 (DIPR):
Chakhesang Women Welfare Society, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Nagaland will be having an inaugural programme for the Mini Tourist Lodge at Pfutsero on April 25 from 10 a.m onwards. Parliamentary Secretary, Tourism, Law & Justice Yitachu will be the Chief Guest and Dy. Chairman State Planning Board, Neiba Kronu will be the guest of honour. This is an effort by the Chakhesang Women Welfare Society to help and promote Tourism at Pfutsero by reviving this Mini Tourist Lodge.

Payment of World War II veteran pension

Mokokchung, April 23 (DIPR):
The payment for World War II Veterans will be made on April 26 at Zila Sainik Board office Mokokchung. Lt Col RS Ahluwalia (Retd) Zila Sainik Welfare Officer requested Pensioners to bring Identity card, Pension Book issued by ZRB. He said payment will be made to individual only.

PDGDU’s 30th meeting held

Peren, April 23 (MExN):
The 30th general meeting of Peren District Government Drivers’ Union was held at administrative Rest House Jalukie. Handing and taking over of files for the newly appointed executives took place after which the union expressed their gratitude to Khrienuo C. Metha the Deputy Commissioner of Peren for her sincere support and assistance towards the union. The Union also acknowledged their gratefulness to the SDO (civil) jalukie and the Officers of Peren district for their logistic and moral support, stated a press release from the PDGDU Jalukie Unit President Shri Teichang Pwetlang.   

Manson training on April 25

Mon, April 23 (DIPR):
Manson Training on Disaster Management to the masons of Mon district would be held on April 25 at 10.00 am at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Mon. Masons from the department of PWD Housing, PHED, CAWD, DUDA, along with private masons at Mon town are directed to attend the training program positively. The resource persons of the training will be Hiazu Meru, SDO (Civil), Mon Sadar and Er. Chinglang Konyak, SDO (R&B), Mon. The resource persons will impart training on the Topic: “Improvement of Masonry to prevent Disaster.” The Deputy Commissioner, Mon Dinesh Kumar, IAS will propose the introductory speech and the function will be chaired by Wasu Kaitry, EAC, Sadar Mon while Mono Khiam, SDO (Civil) II, Mon will lead the interactive session.
