Logo design contest for government schools

Kohima, June 29 (MExN): The Nagaland Directorate of School Education (DoSE) is organising an online ‘Logo Design Competition’ for the Nagaland Education Project – The Lighthouse (NECTAR). 

Lighthouse / Nagaland: Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources (NECTAR) Project is a World Bank financed project that aims to improve overall quality of education and transform the education system in Nagaland.

According to a press release from the DoSE Principal Director Shanavas C, students of classes 5- 12 from all government schools in Nagaland can participate from wherever they are based. The participants stand a chance to win prizes such as smart phones for the students and school supplies worth Rs 20,000 for the school.

The entries must be an original idea on one of the three themes— My dream lighthouse school; My teacher, my companion, or My school, home of future leaders and change makers. The closing date for the submission is on or before 6:00 Pm, July 10 and no submissions after the deadline will be considered, the release stated.

The winning entry(s) will be duly acknowledged and appreciated by the DoSE and the logo used in project related digital and print materials created by the Department during the project period. Each school is encouraged to send in minimum three entries compulsorily to ensure equal and vibrant participation, it said.
