Longleng, January 19 (MExN): The Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on January 19 at the DPDB Hall, Longleng under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Longleng, W Manpai Phom, NCS.
The meeting began with the introduction of new members, followed by a review of the minutes of the previous meeting.
Discussing a proposed agenda submitted by the Phom People Council (PPC) for celebrating the 75th Platinum Jubilee of Longleng town in November 2026, the board deliberated on the matter and agreed to constitute committee members to undertake the preliminary work.
The chairman entrusted the Department of Horticulture to present its departmental activities at the next DPDB meeting.
The house also discussed preparations for the upcoming 77th Republic Day celebrations at the district headquarters. The board reviewed the distribution of work and finalised assignments to the various departments.
It was further decided to conduct a mass social work on January 24.
