LONGLENG, AUGUST 5 (MExN): The monthly meeting of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Longleng was held on August 5 at the DPDB Hall under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and DPDB Vice Chairman, W. Manpai Phom.
The meeting began with the introduction of new officers. The Chairman acknowledged Heads of Offices for their support during the recently held All Nagaland Taekwondo Championship, and also honoured winners of the badminton tournament held at Chumoukedima and the Khelo India Cluster Football Tournament in Tuensang.
The board discussed initiating a district-level award for deserving officers and staff. The District Planning Officer was entrusted to circulate the award criteria to all departments. Departments have been asked to submit nominations with write-ups by August 11. The board also resolved to recognise outstanding teachers at the block level on Teachers' Day.
The Department of Sericulture made a presentation on its activities, while the Department of Assistance Register of Cooperative Societies will present in the next meeting. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from the Chair.
