Longleng, November 25 (MExN): The Department of Horticulture, Longleng organised a two-day ‘State Level Conference and Seminar on Micro-irrigation’ under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY) 2021-22, from November 24 to 25.
Held at the Longleng District Headquarter, the event was a first-of-its-kind organised by a Department in Longleng and it was attended by a total of 122 farmers who are beneficiaries under the PMKSY projects, according to a DIPR report.
Amongst the attendees, ten participants were from Mon and five each from Tuensang and Mokokchung. Recha Imchen, from District Horticulture Office, Mokokchung was the resource person during the technical session on both the days.
The farmers actively participated during the discussion hour between the farmers and subject experts, the DIPR stated, terming the programme ‘a huge success.’
