Longleng, May 17 (MExN): An orientation programme on the implementation of the “100 Days Ayushman Student Coverage Mission” under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) and Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CHMIS) registration and card generation in educational institutions was held at the Chief Medical Officer’s Conference Hall, Longleng, on May 16.
In his keynote address, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Longleng, Dr Lanuakum, welcomed the participants and said the Nagaland Health Protection Society (NHPS), in collaboration with the district administration, is implementing the mission to ensure maximum student coverage under PM-JAY and CHMIS in the district.
He stressed the importance of coordination among departments and educational institutions for successful implementation of the mission and timely enrolment of students under the health schemes.
The programme was conducted by NHPS District Programme Coordinator Chingpai B Phom, who presented the modalities of the 100-day mission.
L Longjei Phom, PMAM, District Hospital Longleng, also addressed the participants and focused on student enrolment targets, card generation and preparation of schedules for school and college visits to ensure timely registration under PM-JAY and CHMIS.
The programme concluded with active participation and suggestions from the attendees.
The orientation programme was attended by Dr Temsusashi, DTO Longleng, representatives from 15 schools and other concerned staff members.
