Lord Jesus, make a wish for me

I have wished upon a star
I have dreamed a thousand dreams
But it makes no difference
Sometime fate is so unkind in the games that it plays
All my heart desires and dreams don’t come true
At times the man deep inside me wanders far from me.
A heart, running for arms out of reach,
But who is the stranger my longing heart seeks?
Who is this trying to show me what real love is? I don’t know.
But you know what’s best for me
Lord Jesus, make a wish for me

When life becomes sore and my heart break
Answers are hard to find looking to the cross
Because I am no angel and I am weak
Sometime I know the answer but I frost
I don’t need an Elixir but look to you
This life you gave lovingly needs you
May be my love will find a way in the Millennial Kingdom
Then a new love saga will be written for a thousand years
I surrender my love to you and in your care I give her to you
Cos I know you know what’s best for me
Lord Jesus, make a wish for me

And now may I sing a love song for everyone
Knowing there’s someone to take care of everything
Declaring loud and clear and saying I love you
I could live on loving you even when you’re not by my side
May be you don't know how long I have loved you
I will not ask anything you can’t give and what I can’t
But if you ever had a moment your heart beating for me
Let it be made known to the world of my longing heart before I die
It hurts but thank you Lord for teaching me that love is unselfish
I’ll be fine; you know what’s best for me
Lord Jesus, make a wish for me
