Lotha community stands one on Wokha-Merapani road

Dimapur, Oct 2 (MExN): The Lothas have expressed full support to the DAN government led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio pertinent to execution of the Wokha-Merapani road construction works and cautioned any elements, groups or individuals, intending to ‘sabotage’ the work-implementation. All four MLAs of Wokha district, the Lotha Hoho, Lotha Students Union, Lotha Officers’ Union took a joint declaration on the said road at the annual conference of the Kohima Lotha Officers’ Union held September 29 at Zonal Council Hall, Kohima. 

Expressing deep appreciation to the State Government for taking initiatives in sanctioning construction of the Wokha-Merapani road, the community representatives extended full support. “We fully support whatever decision the State Government takes in regard to timely execution/implementation of Wokha-Merapani road. That we will take a serious view against any individual or group that acts in any manner sabotaging the process and smooth execution of the project” it declared.

The signatories are State Health Minister Dr TM Lotha, MLAs Nkhao Lotha, ET Ezung and Yankithung Yanthan, Lotha Hoho HQ Chairman Nyanbemo Ngullie, Kohima Lotha Hoho Chairman Mhonsao Ngullie, Dimapur Lotha Hoho Chairman TL Merry, Kohima Lotha Officers’ Union President Chumthungo Mozhui, Wokha Officers’ Union representative Etsemo Khuvung, Dimapur Officers’ Union representative Meyingthungo Kikon, Lotha Students Union President K Nzanthung Yanthan and Kohima Lotha Students’ Union President Yiben Humtsoe.
