Kohima| December 1: ‘Making Merry’ of Baptist College emerged the winner of the Campus Live Beats, held this evening at Kohima Science College, organized by the Clique 90z. The band walked away with a cash of Rs. 1 lakh along with certificates. ‘Anti-trust’ of Alder College, took the second place and won Rs 50,000 and certificates.
‘Project 11’ of Kohima College was chosen for Best Original Song. In the individual category, the award for the best drummer went to Hemand of ‘Anti trust; Best bassist- Jungshi Antitrust; Best guitarist- Rewa Jamir of Alice in Wonderland, Kohima Science College and the best vocalist was awarded to Kevigunuo Suokhrie of Project 11. The individual prizes carried a cash reward of Rs. 3000 and a certificate.
Rahul Ram of India Ocean Band from Delhi, Ate Kevichusa and Obed Kath of Divine Connection were the judge at the contest.Earlier, Rahul Ram cheered the crowed with his amusing performance. He performed along with the MTV rock stars winner, Divine Connection left leaving the crowd wanting for more. Also the Divine Connection rocked with the crowd with their two special performances. Clique 90z aims to make the show an annual event.
