A 30-year-old man, identified as Nzanthung Kikon, was discovered dead at his rented residence near the Fishery area in Tsumang A, Wokha, on June 25 in what authorities believe to be a case of suicide.
According to Additional Superintendent of Police (Addl. SP) Wokha, Biren Lotha, information regarding the incident was received at approximately 1:50 p.m. Police personnel immediately proceeded to the location and carried out the necessary legal formalities.
Preliminary findings revealed that the deceased was found hanging inside the house where he had been staying. Investigators stated that there were no indications of foul play, while the circumstances leading to the incident remain under investigation.
Police further informed that Kikon was divorced and did not have any children. Family members opted not to request a post-mortem examination. Following the completion of all required procedures, the body was released to the family for funeral arrangements and final rites.
