Manipur Violence: BYFI holds candle light service across India

Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): A candle light service was conducted all over the country in India on August 13 between 5:00-8:00pm. It was organised by the Baptist Youth Fellowship of India (BYFI) in solidarity with brothers and sisters in Manipur, Rev Vikuo Rhi, President, BYFI stated in a press release. 

The BYFI comprised of 21 Baptist Convention/States in India prayed for the peace of Manipur in their respective states and Churches. The BYFI urged the youth in Manipur state to give way of peace and hope a chance during this turmoil situation. 

“Let us rise above jealousy and hatred against brothers and sisters of our own state because we shall be living together as neighbor even in the generations to come,” BYFI stated. It also appealed both the communities to engage in peace dialogue and shun violence.
