Manual birth, death registration ends in Nagaland on May 31

Kohima, May 12 (MExN): The Department of Economics & Statistics, Government of Nagaland, has notified that manual registration of births and deaths across the State will be discontinued with effect from May 31 and will be made 100% online system. According to the notification, the transition is aimed at improving data accuracy, reliability, real-time reporting, and phase out fraudulent practices. With effect from June 1, all birth and death registrations in Nagaland will be processed exclusively through the Civil Registration System (CRS) ORGI portal, it added.
