Kohima, January 29 (MExN): The Dedication Programme of Memorial Monument constructed under the initiative and supervision of Joint Coordination Committee and the Nagaland Tribes Action Committee (NTAC) Kohima in memory of the two slain Naga youths in connection with the crisis that erupted during the Naga people’s resistance to conduct of ULB election 2017 in Nagaland will be held on Wednesday, January 31, at 11:00 am coinciding with the first death anniversary.
According to a press release from the NTAC, the monument immortalizes the supreme sacrifice as martyrs by late Khriesavizo Metha and late Bendangnungsang Longkumer in defence of the people’s right.
It is constructed in the heart of Kohima town at the Old Secretariat complex now befittingly called the Martyrs’ Memorial Park and is being dedicated to the people for paying constant tribute in all time to come, the NTAC stated.
In this regard, the NTAC requested all concerned tribal representatives and public to attend the programme positively.
