I have been reading various posts and publications on present Naga Political Solution which is said to be ink very soon between the GOI and Talk Teams (NNPGs/NSCN-IM).
Nagaland being one of the state under biggest democratic country (India), the voice of the Naga Citizens should be given more important than few leaders heading for Naga Solution (whether it's Politicians/UGs).
Different factions have different ideologies for the Naga Nation/state and they had been engaging to hammer out amicable solution for more than two decades. Both GOI of and UGs (NNPGs/NSCN-IM) had invited Civil Societies, NGO, and intellectuals to share their views, but I think chances were not given for the mass Naga public. What the mass public want? What type of Solution the mass Naga public desire? should be given importance. Various Hohos/Civil Societies should hold Public Debates with their respective tribes before giving their mandate/agreement on behalf of the people they are representing. It's not possible for Talk Teams to take every individual on board due to technical difficulties, so Public Debate is very important to discuss the fate of our future generations.
The talk teams, whichever group it may be, are not talking for themselves but for the future of our upcoming generations. There are people who cannot access to Social Media and Print Medias even at this present generation. The Naga Public has been contributing for the cause of Nagas since the inception of Naga Nationalist Movement. Through the contributions of mass Naga Public, today the talk of Naga Solution is at its peak. Many Nagas have been dreaming for a Free Naga Nation (Sovereignty) all these past years; some dreamed of integrated Naga family whose siblings or relatives are in the other side of the state/international boundaries; but according to various news reports and publications, these integration and sovereignty cannot be possible at this stage of talks/solution. But still there are two different dreams - Some people dream of our own Naga National Flag and Constitution; and some people dream of peaceful Nagaland (without UGs) within the Indian Union even if we don't have Flag and Constitution. Therefore, the mass Naga public should be given chance to express their views. Being the biggest democratic country, the GOI should not rush to ink the final deal without listening to the laymen's views. The mass Naga public too must come forward and express their views to both the GOI and the Talk Teams.
