MBCA & PNBA church leaders’ fellowship held

Kohima May 9 (MExN): The Mao Baptist Churches Association (MBCA) and Poumai Naga Baptist Association (PNBA) - Pastors and Mission Workers Fellowship was held at Kalinamai Baptist Church from May 3 to 4 under the leadership of Rev. H. Gideon, Executive Secretary PNBA & Rev. K. Koda, Executive, MBCA.

Rev. James Dhale, Pastor, Trinity Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. L. Kholi, Principal, Manipur Theological College & Rev. R.L. Simon, Pastor, Manipur Baptist Convention Centre Church were the speakers of the fellowship.

Rev. Dhale in his speech challenged the church leaders to break the barrier of different communities through Christian love. He encouraged the gathering to read bible more, which he referred as the love letter from God, and every Christian are must to thorough the whole Bible.

Rev. Dr. Kholi said the capital of peace for the human heart is from the Lord. Encouraging the Christian fellow beings to with stand problems in life, he said God did not remove the entire problem from humanity but his grace is sufficient for us.

Rev. Simon said that the good relationship among the societies was built by mankind alone. Encouraging the congregation to have the sense of responsible with Christian approach to good have cordial relationship he said in the past our forefathers before Christianity also they were connected with sense social responsible.

In the meantime, the church leaders of the two Associations expressed their resentment and dismayed at the gruesome act of burning down of the main building (that housed chapel hall, library, the office of Principal and Vice Principal) of Manipur Theological College, Kangpokpi, on the night of April 18. The heinous act committed as such is done against the will of God and not against any individual or college community because the College building stands to train people and provide the knowledge of God. The church leaders prayed for harmonious coexistence of all communities and for building up of God’s Kingdom and for betterment of society through such theological institution.

Altogether, 206 members were present including church leaders, veteran and prominent political leaders like Dr. Rishang Keishing, former CM, Manipur, R.K.Thekho, former Minister, M. Thohrii, former Minister, Dr. V.Alexnader Pao, MLA, & L. Dikho, MLA.

They exhorted the church leaders to unite together and work hard for the Lord and thereby help grow the Church of Christ in various dimensions.

The Church leaders expressed their desire to continue to work together and have such combined fellowship in the years to come. A new Book entitled “SOLACE: Christian Sermons and More....” written by Z. K. Pahrü (Lect. BTC/Pfütsero) was released by Rev. Hepuni.
