Kohima, August 30 (DIPR): Regional Media Advisor from the US Consulate General Public Affairs Office, Kolkata, Erica Diya Basu called on the Director, Information & Public Relations, Imokokba at the latter’s office chamber on August 30 and also met with other senior officers of the department.
Erica Diya Basu briefed about the upcoming visit of the US Consul General Dean Thompson to the state in the next few months. She also highlighted that the US Consulate is keen to place an English Language Trainer in the state to work with a college or school. She sought the views of the department officers about areas where the US Consulate and the state can work together.
Director, IPR Imokokba, while briefing the visiting official about the state, stated that Nagaland has many talented youth who can excel in various fields and that their talents have to be nurtured to fully realise their potential.
The meeting concluded with assurances from both sides of mutual cooperation and co-ordination in the future programmes.
