Medovi Rhi elected as new NSF President

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25 (MExN): Medovi Rhi has been elected as the new President of the Naga Students Federation (NSF) for the tenure 2023- 2025. The new president along with a new team of office bearers were elected during the ongoing 30th general conference of the NSF at Ukhrul, Manipur. 

A report from the Ukhrul Times informed that the new NSF team for the 2023-25 tenure includes Mteisuiding Heraang as Vice President; Chumben Khuvung as General Secretary; Kenilo Kath as Assistant General Secretary; Temjen Toshi as Education Secretary; Heikho Rengma as Finance Secretary; Pitongo Shithou in charge of Information and Publicity; Kaisu Chakre as Social and Cultural Secretary; Kato P Awomi as Speaker; and Kawoka V Awomi as Auditor General.

During the second day of the general conference, Nagaland Advisor for School Education and SCERT called for collective efforts to forge unity among the Nagas. “We are divided. Nagas is the only word that is binding us together. We need to understand our differences and come together as who we are and what we are. Let us accept our differences and come together as ‘One Naga’ that will be stronger and vibrant,” he said.

Pro-vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema, Prof GT Thong also spoke on the day calling for solidarity to protect the collective welfare and to advocate for justice irrespective of artificial boundaries.
