Kohima, September 15 (MExN): The First State Level Steering Committee meeting for conduct of 6 Minor Irrigation (MlC) & Census of Water Bodies (CWBs) was held on September 14 at the Committee Room of the Office of the Chiefs Engineer, Water Resources Department.
According to a DIPR report, OT Chingmak Chang (IAS) Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Water Resources who is also the Census Commissioner of 6th MIC & CWBs chaired the meeting.
During the meeting, the house resolved the proposed state/district level workshop on 6th Minor Irrigation Census (MIC) & Census of Water Bodies proposed to be held on September 18 at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Chiefs Engineer, Water Resources Department. It also endorsed the appointment of all the Junior Engineers/Sectional Officers/Sectional Assistant of the Department of Water Resources posted in the Divisions and Sub- Divisions are hereby appointed as Block Level Officers.
The house endorsed the application of Software Apps for capturing Longitudes & Latitudes of Water Bodies during census and the proposal for purchase of GPS enabled Phones for Water Bodies Census as per the Ministry Guidelines.
