The Meghalaya cabinet has approved an amnesty scheme which would encourage and help pre-GST tax payers who have outstanding dues to be paid to the government by availing 30 percent waiver.
Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma informed after the cabinet meeting on Thursday that the amnesty scheme will benefit the taxpayers as they can avail the 30 percent waiver and will also benefit the government by way of getting revenue.
He then appealed to the tax payers to avail of the amnesty scheme while adding that the scheme will valid for six months.
