Meluri, April 17 (MExN): The District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting-cum-farewell programme for the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Meluri was held on April 16 at Riepetho’s Farm, with discussions covering development initiatives and administrative priorities.
Advisor for New & Renewable Energy and NSDMA, Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, who chaired the meeting, referred to the selection of villages under a Government of India programme and said at least eight villages along with one EAC headquarters have been identified in the district. He urged officials to carry out their responsibilities sincerely in the interest of public service.
Outgoing Deputy Commissioner K Mhathung Tsanglao, in his remarks, thanked officers and staff for their support during his tenure and said he was “deeply touched” by the farewell programme.
Calling for unity among the people of Pochury, he encouraged the youth to pursue education while also exploring opportunities beyond government employment. He also stressed the need to make use of skill development programmes to build sustainable livelihoods.
Reflecting on his tenure, he said his time in the district felt like a “home away from home” and expressed hope for its continued progress.
