‘Meluri has vast economic scope’

Meluri | February 27 : MLA & Advisor, Art & Culture, Science & Technology and New & Renewable Energy, Deo Nukhu while encouraging the people of Pochury community with special emphasis on the lives of Meluri people stated that, the people of the area has vast provision of building up their economy under agricultural setup and thereby lifting up their status of economic stature to a higher level with continuous improvement. He stated this, while he was addressing the 33 Meluri Cultural day held recently at Meluri.
Stressing on the availability of rich natural lands, he said the uncultivated lands starting below Meluri village down to the river belt of Tizu (Agash Bridge), richly provides the potential of cultivating several crops, especially commercial crops. Suggesting that the land has a favorable climate for the plantation of Guava, Pineapple, Orange, Sweet Potato etc, Nukhu urged the people of the area to opt for the plantation of such fruits without further delay. “Once a society gets an opportunity to explore the benefits of economy, nobody can stop the very society/community in its functioning under any circumstances adding the benefits within in no time, and would even flourish to its neighboring areas,” Nukhu said.  
Nukhu also cited that most advanced nations have progressed under agricultural set up, and no nation would come up to superpower nation without agricultural back up and urged the people of the area to engage themselves in the plantation work and added that it would definitely ease out the practical lives of community from backwardness to a forward class within its own parameter. Expressing his serious concern over the same, he said, as and when people take up the said work, it would automatically draw the attention of the government to initiate various steps and in providing assistance under various departmental schemes, thereby, enhancing the economy of the entire tribal community in particular, and the state in general.
Expressing his desire that the people of the area take up the fruit plantation project without much delay, he said he would be the happiest person to see the people progressing in their own take up project, thereby exposing the skills and talents of the entire community irrespective of class, and age groups.
